To Explain: The reason due to which an electric motor does not spin when connected to the secondary coil of the transformer.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

A step up transformer is a transformer whose output voltage is greater than its input voltage. In other words, it increases voltage.

The student connects the motor with a step-up transformer so that the motor gets a greater voltage. But since the motor still does not work, it probably is not getting the required amount of voltage. The voltage increases but does not meet the requirements of the motor.

Conclusion:

The motor does not receive the required amount of voltage for it to work. Hence, it does not spin when it is connected to the secondary coil of the transformer.
