Information technology involves the study and use of computers for storing, retrieving and transmitting information. It is often used in context with enterprise or business. IT can be considered as a part of Information and communication technology. Information technology plays an important role in many areas:

• Information technology plays an important role in business field by providing smooth functioning of their departments like manufacturing, security, finance and HR.
• Another importance of information technology is in the education field. It allows students to learn from online classes which are accessed through computers or laptops. Also, it allows students to submit their assignment anytime.
• Information technology plays an important role in healthcare field also. Nowadays, most of the hospitals and clinics send, receive medical information and reports digitally.
• Information technology plays an important role in security as well. Information technology provides security to online data from online transactions or any other alternative if data is accessed through a proper channel.
