Amongst the multitude of educational opportunities that has emerged over the years, one that has positively influenced my goals has been the Teaching and Learning Careers (TLC) academy. My educational goal is to obtain my teaching credentials and eventually get a job at an elementary school working as an ESL teacher. I am bilingual so that was the reason that sparked my interest in teaching students English who didn't speak it as their first language. The TLC academy has opened my eyes to learn about the variety of teachers there are in the education system. Through my involvement with TLC I have developed many transferable working skills like communication, organization, time management, taking instructions, being punctual, knowing how to

“How JROTC has prepared me to be a better citizen of the United states of America”. JROTC has prepared me to become a better citizen by teaching me how to use leadership skills and be able to cope with subordinates. It also has prepared me to be a better citizen by showing me what the 7 army values are and what they mean. Some of the army values are respect, honor, integrity, and personal courage. JROTC has showed me how to do things different from the way I thought things should be done and how to march and be able to keep a company and platoon together when marching. Since I know a lot about the JROTC I am able to help other people become better citizens like I was taught. I am also a better citizen because i have the discipline not to do certain things that I did before I took the JROTC class.
Texas A&M University is a great school to attend. They have great places to relax and study along with amazing facilities. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of 1837, the first higher education institution for African Americans was founded on February 25th given the name Institute for Colored Youth (originally the African Institute). After changing its name again to Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and moving to Delaware County, Pennsylvania, it continues as the oldest predominantly African American school of higher learning. The institute was founded by Richard Humphreys, a Quaker philanthropist who donated 10,000 dollars to establish a school that would educate young African American male and females the skills needed to become more competitive in the job market (Conyers, 1990). The school taught basic subjects such as math, reading and writing, as well as agriculture and mechanics. Humphreys envisioned the institute to train people of color to become teachers who would further instruct more young men and
While attending Liberty Univeristy, I started out as a Business Major, but after a few accounting classes I decided to be an Accountant. Not only did I find a career path at Liberty, but I also found my life's mate. We have been married for 34 year and our proudest accomplishment in life are our three children. Nathan, recently married and lives in Wisconsin. Both are clinical pharmacists in the hospital setting. Nathan published his first article for the Pharmacy Journal which started sibling riviary. Lauren, is the Production Manager for the White House Historical Association and could't wait to tell her brother that she published two articles. We also visited the White House on several occasions. Our youngest,
Recently, the Junior Civitan Club held a charter ceremony to officially recognize the club as part of Junior Civitan. This was a very momentous occasion for not only members and sponsors of the club, but for the school as well.
I was devastated to hear that only ten students were allowed into ENG 102 for the spring semester, but this is my opportunity to show you that I deserve to be put in ENG 102. I believe I should be one of the ten students to advance into your ENG 102 class because I think I have what it takes. I have ambitions and dreams and if I don’t graduate because of this class they will just burn to ashes in the back of my mind. Hopefully you will be persuaded by the end of this essay, and you will end up putting me in your 102 class.

I came into Norwalk Community College looking for a fresh start. I previously attended a 4 year university that became too much for me; attending school full-time, working 30 hours per week while trying to enjoy the college experience. At the cost of an “experience” I ended up failing most of my classes, putting my health at risk drowned by the tremendous amount of stress and just wanted to completely give up. Looking for a fresh start I decided to leave my University, and attend Norwalk Community College. Though this decision created self-doubt in the beginning, it soon came to my realization that it was the best decision I ever made. Immersed in an environment full of positive people, I was able to put my pieces back together.
The reason I would want to attend Clark Magnet High School is because I believe Clark will help me set up for college, universities and jobs in the future. Clark has a great technology program and I believe it will help me exceed in my career choice. Clark has better teachers, smaller campus, great staff, more security, and more learning tools for anyone who wants to major in math/science careers. I made the decision of applying to Clark because I know Clark will prepare me better for the future. My sister went to Clark too and she loved it, college is easier for her and now she's excelling and has straight A's. I would want to go to a high school knowing that they will help me prepare for the future rather than being worried about what is
I graduate high school in early June, I plan on attending Radford University and I plan on studying nursing as my major. Radford University seems like a perfect fit for me. Most students find it hard to transition from high school going into college. Some people are practically an adult going off into this new chapter in their lives and you have to face all that alone. Students approaching this time in their lives becoming a young adults have to figure out how you’re going to balance this new chapter of your life.
I chose Bingham Academy because my mom wanted me to go here and it's it's a public charter school. I am not attending another school because I don't want to and my mom does not want me to. I chose Bingham Academy because it's a small school, there's not very many people attending, and there's a higher chance of people actually learning instead of being told what to do all the time, like most other schools we go until three twenty five or later, in our case, we go until three fifty. Bingham Academy is an open campus as well.

I have chosen to apply to the Khan Lab School for many reasons. First, I have always wanted more time to dance and I have not been able to since I have only had the time to focus on school. Also, I feel that being independent so I can learn self paced I can spend more time on material I struggle with. I already have experience being self taught because sometimes I feel that I can learn faster that the classmates but on the contrary other times I have to spend more time to understand. I think that the Khan Lab School is a perfect school because it allows the students to be self taught but also maintain friendships within the school. By getting into the Khan Lab School, the self paced educational system would help me learn better while I can
