Old Dominion University ORGANIC 214 Alkene Addition Submitted by: Alkene addition: Bromination of (E) Stilbene Introduction: In this lab we used the greener approach, which involves the addition of bromine across a double bond. When bromine reacts with E-stilbene (trans-1,2-diphenylethene), two new chiral carbons are created from the sp2 carbons, therefore 3 different dibrominated stereoisomers are possible: meso-(1R,2S), or the raceminc mixture-(1R,2R) or (1S,2S)-dibromo-1,2-diphenylethane
Belcher’s 2nd Grade Class – Pinson Elementary 1. Student Outcomes: The student will develop strategies for solving a variety of addition and subtraction story problems. 2. Standards: a. Alabama 2.1.) Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the
Hair Additions With the benefits of technology, we now have a wide selection of wigs and hair addition to let our creative minds wonder about all the way we can style and maintain these additions. There are many lengths, styles, colours and textures of hair additions you could buy/rent. Wigs are also very cheap compared to their ancestors and new-age technology has allowed us to create wigs that are weaved to create an ultra-light and hyper- ventilated wigs. The finish of the hair additions all depends
On February 8, 2018 the United States of America encounter an addition catastrophe. An extensive shooting occurred at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida denouement with seventeen innocent lives occupied by nineteenth year old Nicolas Cruz whom was a former student that was expelled from Stoneman Douglas High School. Faculty Members gamble their lives to preserve the lives of students. Many families were affected and devastated, and the questions still remain unanswered. Why? Was there
One reason, a school would be a great addition is because it would be a local area for M.S. citizens. An example, would be that kids from M.S. wouldn’t have drive far away to another school district. Also, kids would be able to get more exercise by walking instead of driving. The last example, would be high schoolers won’t have to waste gas to get themselves to school. Our school district could use more students, so please consider a school. My next reason, would be that once M.S. students come
Summative Assessment Design is to develop the students with addition and subtraction by having multiple strategies to addition by placing together and understanding, and also to understand the subtraction in taking from and taking apart. Each student will be able to demonstrate the understanding of joined addition and/or separated subtraction of its objections by demonstrating addition and also subtraction in different

speak when he has a concern. Aiden is very eager to learn in both language arts and mathematics, he works really hard and puts in effort in order to build his fluency and accuracy when reading and adding his numbers. He is able to understand basic addition word problems and solve for the unknown using pictures, dots, or manipulatives. He is fluent in telling his letter names, sounds, and some sight words; however, he is behind in his reading level. He struggles to decode words through blending and
with fractions. He needs to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. He needs to identify the correct operation to solve a word problem. He needs to be able to solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving all 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) of whole numbers and fractions. John’s weaknesses in math impact his ability to solve multi-step word problems, which is expected in 5th
fluent, but alone cardinality and subitizing are not enough to fluently compute numbers. Place Value and Unitizing Understanding place value is integral to mathematics, and is especially for addition and subtraction. Being able to easily rearrange numbers between place values is required for most addition and subtraction problems. Part of grasping place value is being able to unitize. Fosnot and Dolk explain unitizing to be “a child’s construction of the logic to think of 10 flexibly as ten 1’s
