I once again am the beacon of hope my people need to feel heard: Yet, with freedom came the burden of governance as I write better conditions on the plantation for our slaves into the constitution to be favored. I shall agitate the living soul in minds of our ignorant oppressors who doesn’t see our existence.   And though the road ahead may be fraught with challenges, I stand firm in my conviction that the flame of freedom that burns within the heart of Haiti will never be quench. Victory is the sensation of breaking free from the chains of hell, but we must begin to internalize this mindset first because it won’t be an easy road to completely erase slavery. If there are chains to be broken and tyrants to be toppled, I will continue to fight—together with my people—to ensure that the dream of liberty lives on for generations to come as I forged alliances with nations near and far.   Yet, as the years passed, challenges arose as I try to figure out. Forces both foreign and domestic sought to undermine the progress we had made, threatened by the prospect of a free and prosperous Haiti. Betrayal lurked in the shadows, a constant reminder of the fragility of power. But I refused to yield to fear, standing firm in my conviction that the dream of liberty was worth any sacrifice. The sword coming through inside our oppressors’ bodies as the feel undefeated and weak.   And so, I ruled with an iron will tempered by compassion, a leader who dared to dream of a world where all men and women could live free from fear and oppression. Through the trials and tribulations of nationhood, I remained steadfast in my conviction that the dream of emancipation was not merely a destination. For as long as there are hearts that beat with the rhythm of freedom, Haiti will continue to stand as a shining example of what can be achieved when men and women dare to dream of a better tomorrow.   Though my time upon this earth may be fleeting, the legacy of my reign will endure for generations to come—a testament to the enduring power of the human spirit to overcome even the greatest of obstacles. In addition, and though I may one day fade into the mists of history, and though my time upon this mortal coil may be but a fleeting whisper in the winds of time, the legacy of my reign would echo through the ages.  I Toussaint born into bondage in the French colony of Saint-Domingue enslaved so many came to lead the most successful slave revolt in history that will forever leave a mark on the earth I am leaving behind with all humans are created equal, and that liberty is the birthright of every soul as I sit into this pitful prison against my will by my  captors leaving me with a feeling of betrayal and was left to die as if I don’t matter as I stay rotten in this jailcell in the frozen mountains of France as I miss the day my people celebrate their independence.
