The checklist titled “Checklist for Revising and Editing”, in The Little Seagull Handbook, provided eight great tips for revision of a paper. The tips ranged from appealing to a specific audience to punctuation errors. The biggest issues I have with writing are sentence structure and punctuation and mechanics.
The Capella University writing process includes four main parts. First, there is a prewriting, which allows the student to generate ideas of what the content of the assignment will be (Capella University, 2017). This step creates the audience and the purpose of the assignment. The next step is drafting the assignment, which allows the student to document the evidence that supports the main ideas (Capella University, 2017). This step is important because it helps determine if the evidence presented strongly supports the topic. The next step of the writing process is revising, which allows the student to make changes that will strengthen the content of the assignment (Capella University, 2017). Revising is another significant activity that I acquired from the course. As a writer, I have to fix some logical mistakes in my essay, check on the missing steps, the awkward transitions, and any confusing organization or outline. Proofreading is another step for the writing process, where English 1101 demand individuals to read out the revised paper loudly, to identify any mistakes that need correction. The last step is formatting, which has an aim of making the essay perfect. I discovered that I have to make sure my essay is appropriately formatted, meeting all the MLA style requirements.

I believe that it is possible that Hester would regret leaving town. Mostly because, she was famous around that area for the scarlet letter. And even though the townspeople didn 't necessarily like her, everyone knew Hester and talked about her, most of the time they weren 't very polite words, but for her, that is better than nothing. Coming into this class, I wasn't sure what to expect. Of course,I expected to be writing a lot but was unsure of the type of writing and the style. I was looking forward to writing challenging pieces that stretching me creatively as a writer. I wanted to explore how to express myself in my writing because it had been a long time since I'd written a creative essay. One of my main hopes for this class was challenging myself to become a better editor of my own papers. I often find it a tedious and laborious process to find and edit the grammatical errors in my papers. However, this is an important skill that I need to develop for my future as a successful writer.
