It is easy to say that a parent has had the most influence on your life, they taught you how to walk, talk, drink and among many other things hopefully right from wrong. A good parent is there for you most of your life, quick to lend a hand or offer advice (unless it’s your mother-in-law) when needed, but the trait that impacted my life the most was the integrity my father exhibited with me and the people lucky enough to have met him. My Father was born to a farmer in NJ a few short years after the depression, learned the lessons that only hard labor can teach from a young age. Working on the farm is not easy, the days are long, the chores are extremely physical and dirty and if you’re a kid all this happens before you even go off to …show more content…
If you were to ask my father how he made the tough decisions in life he would tell you it was simple. Well maybe it is when you have an uncompromising set of ideals and sure sense of what is fair. I can remember when I was only 10 years old and my father was offered a high level position with his company but the position would require for us to move to Texas. We lived in a small town with a great school and lots of friends, my mother and father were both involved in the volunteer Fire Department and I think I knew everyone in town. Everyone looked out for each other and most important we felt safe. My dad easily turned down the position and never regretted it, although I am certain on a professional level he would have enjoyed the challenge. To this day I often think back to that sacrifice when I am analyzing similar options in my career. The first priority in my life is creating a stable nurturing environment for my family, not buying them the most video games. My Dad did ok making money and supporting our family, we had a nice house and plenty of toys and TV’s but what I remember the most was that he was home every night and weekend to enjoy them with us not at the office. My father is a big football fan and even wrote in my baby book that he hoped I would grow up loving the game as much as he does. Well his dream came true as I am a self proclaimed football junkie. A few months prior to my Freshman year of High School I announced I would be
Someone who has been influential to me, besides my parents is my Grammy. She has always been there for me when I needed her the most and has taken me into her home many times throughout my life. She was very influential on me because she taught me how to be a clean freak, be responsible for my actions, and to always keep a smile on my face. Also, Grammy taught me that even when it gets hard to just keep going and pushing through life because she was always saying I could achieve anything I put myself up to. With this I have pushed through many things at school including passing a test, doing homework, ignoring drama, and making new friends. I have achieved a lot of my goals due to her showing me that things may happen, but you can always achieve
Identify the person who has had the strongest influence on your family’s development. What made this individual
My dad was a strict, overbearing father who thought it was necessary for his children to fear him in order to ensure respect. Everyone was affected by my dad's obsessive and controlling nature, and eventually my mom had had enough. Heartbroken after losing the love of his life, my dad was forced to recognize what he had become. This changed who he was as a person leaving me to be raised in two completely different environments.
As my first dialect is not English and I am here in school to secure my degree, I need to figure out how to write in a scholastic way. My dad may be the only individual who affected me to figure out how to compose whether in English or in my first dialect. A while ago when I was in center school, I usual to speak with companions by composing messages or letters. These days, we utilize innovation, for example, telephones to impart by talking. I seldom utilize composing to correspond with companions or gang. Previously, when I needed to express my dismal feelings, I used to correspond with my family in composing. Nonetheless, now I utilize Snap Chat and telephone calls. My shortcoming in composing is linguistic use,
Growing up, I had a lot of amazing people to look up to, including my father. He was my hero and was always encouraging me to push myself and try new things. My father was in the military for many years and was a drill sergeant, so he was very good at persuading people to do things, my six year old self included. He taught me many lessons in life and has helped me grow as a person.
For most of my life I have been a bit of a loner. I’m not lonely, but I’ve always enjoyed my own company. I love my relationship with God, my family, and my friends, but I have no problem with spending time by myself. When I was in elementary school, I didn’t really recognize the importance of being by myself sometimes. I tolerated it, but I remember feeling like I always wanted and needed friends around. All of this changed once I moved to Colorado and started my first year in middle school at a public school. Before then, I had went to a private Christian school and now I had to attend public school. I was very nervous and deep down I didn’t want to go to school. I was sick and tired of moving at that point and didn’t want to make new friends
Someone who is very influential to me is my film and television broadcast teacher Mrs. Katrina Allemeier. She was the main person who helped me figure out how much I love making films. I had randomly been placed into her beginning video production class, my sophomore year of high school, when the other elective classes for first semester had been filled up. She introduced me to the process of film making and how to communicate ideas through those films. She encouraged me to begin advanced video production second semester, which I later did and loved greatly. Junior year I joined the IB Film class, but was also accepted into the Television Broadcast Class, which created the school’s news show every week. I didn’t believe that I would do well in this class, because I did not see myself as a leader. Mrs. Allemeier helped me grow as a leader greatly in this class, by making me push myself to advance in my position in the class. I began as a basic reporter and editor working on my segments of the show only. Then she recommended
Out of all the influential people in my life, I would say my mother is the one that has been my biggest influence. My mom is extremely strong, hard working, independent,
I am who I am because of my parents’ influence on my life. Their strengths and weaknesses as human beings have profoundly impacted my personality and my world view in a variety of ways.
I’ve had many experiences with a variety of people, all whom I’ve interacted with many times throughout these 17 years of my life; they all have taught me different things and have had a great influence in my life. Although there are quite a few people who have influenced these past 17 years of my life, the only two people who have had and continue to have a profound influence on my life is most certainly both of my parents. My parents are the kind who have always been there for every one of their kids, no matter the circumstance, would sacrifice themselves for our family and the strongest people in my life because they’ve had to go through a lot. The reasons why my parents have definitely made so many influences throughout my life is simply because they always know what to say to me, when I need them the most, they’ve taught me important values, life lessons, and inspire me every day into being a better person, than I was the day before, and not only have they just taught me these important things but as well as many other valuable teachings.
As I have seen most of my family follow through the pathways of the medical field, it has greatly influenced me as to where I would like my career path to go. Observing the countless hours family members have endured throughout their
Who is the most influential person in your life? Most of us would say our father, mother and maybe girlfriend or boyfriend. Mine would be no different. My father has this capacity or power of affecting me without any direct or apparent effort. The most influential person in my life beyond a shadow of a doubt is my father. There are a lot of people who said a perfect father does not exist. Well, they have never been so wrong. Maybe not all fathers in the world are perfect but mine definitely is. My father is an exceptional person. I love everything about my old man, the way he speaks, he behaves and they way he moves are beyond perfection in my eyes. I am immensely proud to have the chance to be his son, I felt like I am this small present of a great person he is. Now, sit back and let me describe how great my father was so you will know how special he is.
5. My father holds the biggest impact in my life. You will hardly ever see him angry. He is a hard worker. He and my mother provide for the family. He takes extra shifts so we have money for “just in case”scenarios. My father when i think of a true dad, he will always pop up in my head. He is the stereotypical father. If something needs to get done he is the guy to go to. I can talk to him about anything. He has brought me up to be a gentleman. When my mother was having my sister I hardly saw my dad. Being young at the time i didn’t understand, but being older now, I now realize he worked everyday taking up extra hours so when my mom needed something the money would be there for her. He is a true man.
Growing up the person, besides my parents, that had the biggest influence on my life was my Grandpa Dave. He was my dads adopted father, and he played a major role in my childhood. Everytime I visited he always had stories to tell about my dad and what he was like as a child. My favorite story that he ever told me was about the time that he and my father went camping.
The one factor that has shaped me more than anything is my family; specifically my mother. My mom is the strongest person I know, and she has been through absolute hell, but despite that, she has remained a loving, caring, and helpful person. It is because of my mother that I have strived to have these same qualities if not more. After the death of her husband, the biological father of my siblings, my mother raised three children by herself. My father was never in my life and still isn’t to this day. I was five years old when my mom’s husband and the only father I ever knew was taken from us. While he was trying to protect his family; he was gunned down in a home invasion. To this day I can remember the look on my mother's face when she picked me up and with tears streaming down her face told me that my father had died. The next couple of days were a blur as she packed us up and moved us from Pennsylvania to Virginia and then again to North Carolina. Years later I asked her why she did this and she said she thought the best place for us would be around family. She didn’t move back to a family that she rarely got along with for her, but because she knew that after losing our father we had a hole in our life that could only be filled with the love that family can offer.
