The United States is following the path of ancient Rome. Although there are many differences, their similarities indicate a similar fate for the U.S.A. I aim to examine the climate and structure of Ancient Rome which lead to its Rapid success and the similar system of the U.S. that in turn facilitated their ultra quick rise to power. Then by examining the results of this system, the corruption and Fundamental ideas that lead to the rise of a “Central Power” that came to be present in both nations and many say signaled the end of the Republic Era of Rome. I hope to provide critical review in which we can use as knowledge in indicating why the U.S. is currently in a state of decay. Congress - Legislative In relation to the Roman Senate, Congress is divided between two working entities and represents the Legislative Branch and The House of Representatives is the most “Directly Democratic” body as it is elected by the people. 435 seats are divided in proportion to their total population. Elected by the majority party, leadership lies in the Speaker of the House position. The Senate has two members from each state regardless of the population and are designed to act as a check on laws representing the “few” (House Districts) by having a clear overview of the “many” (the state as a whole) (BarCharts, Inc.) Provides “advice and consent” on presidential nominees for virtually all positions, Ratifies all treaties (by two thirds vote), holds sole power to remove a president from office, votes on all bills and legislation sent from the House. The Majority Leader holds the true power in the Senate, and often meets and acts in concert with, the Speaker of the House and the President. The President and Vice President – Executive The President and Vice-President together represent the Executive Branch, the president can implement the laws as executive orders and serves up to two four year terms. The presidential powers are to serve as commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. With the Advice and Consent of congress, he may appoint officials, officers, federal judges, and ambassadors. While the fall of the Roman Empire is well known, the exact causes of why it fell can be difficult to pinpoint. Many historians believe that Rome 's downfall was due to poor leadership, weakened economics, or perhaps a combination of the two along with other seemingly unrelated factors. However, there is a string of evidence suggesting that there were three main components that took place to bring about the fall of the Roman Empire. These determinant attributes did not happen all at once, and there was a domino effect with each one directly influencing the others. The fall of Rome occurred after a series of preventable events, including unacceptable emperors, the heavy reliance on slaves, and the increasingly uncontrollable borders of Rome.
What makes a country or empire so powerful? Is it a leader, the military, or even the people? These all do. They make a certain connection due to the success of an empire. You can they’re the “Three Musketeers” of one. The old Roman Empire and the United States have that connection. Both were in great power, had prosperity, and were strong in their own unique ways. But what if the United States falls dramatically—just like the Roman Empire did in 476 AD? What would we do? This fall would not be based on mythical angry gods, but our decisions in life today. The political, military, economic, and social judgments we make present day—believe it or not—are based on our future consequences.
The Executive Branch’s main job is to enforce the laws. The head of the Executive Branch is the President, also known as Donald Trump. The second in command is the Vice-President, also known as Mike Pence. In order to be the president, you must be at least 35 years old, live 14 years stateside, and be a natural born citizen. There are five categories that the powers of a president can be placed into. The president can be the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the Chief Executive, the Chief of State, the Chief Legislator, and the Chief of Party. As the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the president can make the military decisions and call the National Guard. As the Chief Executive, he makes sure his cabinet and staff are doing their jobs correctly. As the Chief of State, he represents the U.S. abroad, acts as hosts to all foreign dignitaries, and makes treaties subject to a ⅔ approval by the Senate. As the Chief Legislator, he can approve or veto laws and suggest certain laws be made through his supporters in the House/Senate. As the Chief of Party, he is the chief of his political party and can make decisions regarding the makeup of his party.
The great Roman Empire expanded across all of Europe and into the Middle East. Its military was one of the finest. With major trading in Africa and Britain, the economy flourished with brining many citizens a healthy income. With amazing advancements in culture and technology, Roman society was at its finest. During the Pax Romana, the Romans had 200 years of peace and good ruling by level headed dictators and emperors. Despite Rome’s greatness in all of these areas, Rome would eventually fall. Surprisingly all of these qualities that led up to a flourishing empire were the same ones that led to its demise. As Germanic tribes invaded, the military weakened and the government became unstable.
The United States Constitution was carefully crafted by a group of deliberate and thoughtful individuals; each having their own unique and particular ideas about government, and the people it may govern. As this supreme foundation for government was molded, each founding father put forth their learned beliefs and philosophies to be integrated into this modern document. All of the crafting members were both well-read and thoroughly educated, allowing for deep and extended discussions on past governments, their efficiencies, and their deficiencies. Through their readings and philosophical discussions, it became apparent that two previously governing bodies stood, in their opinions, above the rest: The Greek and Roman empires. Their governmental practices and virtues were key in the development of the Constitution, as they were dissected, and eventually, emulated by this country’s founding members.
Document A: According to Article II of the Constitution, the President has the power to carry out the laws. He officially becomes commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, allowing him/her to have control over them. The President is responsible for making sure the laws are enforced.

Scholars do not know precisely how the emergence of Rome was formulated, but today the United States practices the way Roman government would have ran. The Romans set the ideal standards for the government and politics in the United States. The Romans created a government that stood for an empire that ruled for over 1,229 years, and now takes part in the government 's foundation for the most advanced country in the world. Ancient Rome was an empire so dominant, wealthy and economically- stable which came to a dramatic fall in the period of 250AD- 500AD. Ancient Rome faced unexplained unfortunate events which crumbled the Great Empire from the affluent empire to a impoverished society. For centuries historians have timelessly theorised and analysed many debates and research in relation to the Fall of the Roman Empire. What really caused the predominate Roman Empire to fall? Did Rome fall naturally? Was disease, such as malaria a major contributor to the Fall of the Empire, Was man -made infrastructure a problem during Ancient Roman times? Was the fall a natural event? Was the climate changing causing natural disasters? Maybe, perhaps, all the theories interweaved with each other at the same time causing a catastrophic downfall, defeating the Ancient Roman Empire. As J.B Bury said once “the fall of the roman empire was a series of contingent events. In this paper we are going to cover the three main reasons. Political and Economical problems plus problems with the military(Wood).
