Introduction “Activity data is a form of human actions that can be converted into a computer to show actionable insight into that data. To analysis and interpret this data brings a broader picture to a business mind frame, set decisions and challenges.”(Kay, D. & Harmelen, M. V. 2015) Suitable sample of quantitative data for the business scenario In this scenario, the data is inappropriate for a business quantitative sample because the information was obtained during the highest peak of the season. The information obtained is a preconceived notion based on the highest peak of the company’s business. The data is not accurate to use because the highest peak of the season is based on just a few weeks, not a full year which makes this information bias. By using this information, it suggests to customers that the café receives this amount of business throughout the year. Researchers have argued that having an ample enough of data is to be based on a professional sampling technique. A professional sampling technique is a formula that stands as being unbiased, with this technique this would be the best way to attain a clear and suitable decision. Zikmund formula is based on levels of assurance and estimated sampling error (Mlane, n.d). The factors that would affect the validity of data set The factors that would affect the validity of the data set are based on the instability of the café ability to have a consistent flow of guests. With the café unable to produce a steady flow

At 5% level of significance, is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the proportions of errors in transactions assigned to each of the 5 memory locations are all different?
• Provide at least two examples or problem situations in which statistics was used or could be used.
A hospital marketing director has several research projects to undertake this quarter. He must try to determine the appropriate sampling methodology in light of each problem. Describe the methodology that should be used in each of the following and explain why:
When we look around us, we may not recognize that statistics is all around. Before I began to take this course “Statistics for Managers” I was not aware of how statistics actually worked. The first idea that came to my mind about statistics was probability. Not knowing statistics and probability are related because they both determine a possible outcome. Throughout this course I have learned what statistics is and how it works. In this paper, I will describe descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis developing and testing, the selection of statistical tests, and how to evaluate statistical results in analyzing data.
The population of interest is a sample of offenders in various (state and federal) prison facilities in the United States. The study will include a sampling pool of both male and females ranging in age 18+. To help with initial involvement, the study will include: a cover letter, a consent form, a pre-demographic and information survey, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. To ensure a response, a reminder and thank you card will be sent to each participant two-weeks after the initial packet was sent.
My informant explained an observation she had made about the flow of the customers in the coffee house. Due to the location, the flow of customers corresponds to the arrival of public transportation, trains and buses. When a train arrives and customers get off the train, many wait to transfer to a bus close to the entrance of the coffee house. During that time, there is usually an influx of customers in the restaurant. Sometimes the line to order extends to the entrance door, during this time the customers wait time to receive their order is much longer than the wait to place an order. My informant explained that the extended wait time for an order was due to a limited number of staff working in the kitchen.

Business analysis is a significant aspect of any business and company. This is mainly because change is the only constant thing that needs to be constantly dealt with. Change can happen in both your target market and in the industry your business or company belongs to, and for your business to survive and succeed despite these changes, proper business analysis must be conducted at the right time. In such a cutthroat business environment, business analysis is essential in order to maintain competitiveness.
Activities are graphically represented by arrows, usually with description and time estimates written along the arrows. The tail of the arrow portraying an activity represents the starting point of the activity and its
The research carried on both quantitative approach and qualitative approach. It began with quantitative approach—questionnaire. Bryman and Bell (2003) asserted that mail or postal questionnaires are most popular forms of questionnaires. Another form—self-completion questionnaire was also common because of the overlap with postal questionnaire to some extent.
As a production manager, Michelle York was disappointed with this conclusion and decided to consult a professor on the best solution to this dilemma, after futile efforts to establish a sampling technique that would yield the desired improvement and results. Previously, the samples were carried under different settings since the company had to freeze on capital expenditures of a significant amount, and still, the replacement would have cost many times that amount. The professor’s advice was that the company should have used smaller sample sizes and taken more samples. After conferring with the professor, the company took twenty seven samples of five observations each. In their second sampling, the company got results with a sample mean range that indicated less deviation.
[Note: This sample proposal is based on a composite of past proposals, simulated information and references, and material I’ve included for illustration purposes – it is based roughly on a fairly standard research proposal; I say roughly because there is no one set way of creating a quantitative research proposal. Much of its design is based on the nature of the research, your preferences, and your decisions regarding how to describe or portray what it is you plan to accomplish. The material in this document was adopted from a dissertation proposal created by Dr. Ralph Brockett. A biography
