I feel as though my strengths greatly impact on the support I can provide in the year 4 class I work in every Thursday morning in a positive way. This encourages the children and the child I work one to one with (who is awaiting a diagnosis of ADHD) in this class to approach their work positively and be positive themselves. I believe I have developed a professional working relationship with the year 4 class teacher, which in affect has enabled us to have good communication skills.
By having good communication skills, we are able to successfully undertake the lesson. If I am unsure of anything after reading the lesson plan I am confident in asking the teacher to explain or elaborate more on the task set to the students or learning outcome. By
My personal strengths are my communication skills and the variety of work experience that I obtain. I believe through these strengths I have been able to achieve the goals I’ve set out for myself. I have had the opportunity of being a part of a leadership development program called the Jeter's Leaders, where I was able to host an annual social change leadership conference. I was expected to prepare and present an entire workshop about college life in Florida presenting to a group of teenagers and the following year the topic focused on was Bullying and Depression in Chicago. In these conferences, I’ve been able to enhance my communication skills and through these experiences I will try my absolute best to bring the assets that I’ve learned
I have a variety of strengths which include being a hard worker, being determined, showing commitment, being a quick thinker and being adaptable to any situation. These strengths constantly push me towards success. Hard work and determination allow me to expand my boundaries and attain my goals. In the past, I have used these strengths to complete the toughest course I took in high school with an average of 90%. Moreover, my high levels of commitment to any activity that I participate in is also an asset. In fact, I have been privileged to mentor younger children at my temple, dedicating 2 hours to them every Sunday. When faced with problems, being a quick thinker, allows me to think critically and solve issues with efficiency. Adaptability in
After attending many interviews over this year, I have been asked “What are my strengths” numerous times. After careful consideration, the two characteristics that I feel are my greatest strengths are my passion for teaching, and the fact that I am coachable. According to Benekos (2016), Passion for teaching includes the ability to teach students how to learn and to instill enthusiasm and interest in learning. Since I was a little kid, I have always had a love of numbers. From playing with numbers, to calculating numbers, to talking about numbers, I have always been very fond of numbers. As an adult and mathematics teacher now, I try to instill my students with that same love and enthusiasm that I have for numbers. Everyday that I am in the
I am applying for section leader because, I feel I can give back to the program. This program has grown me as a person exponentially. My personal strengths are that I have endured allot. Being in scouts has taught me there are 2 parts to being in a group. First you are a follower, you grow as an individual and learn new skills. The second part is being a leader, to now take what you have learned over the course of time and show it, and teach others . I feel as if I have grown as an individual following others, that I can now take the next step into the leading aspect of an organization.
The Discover Your Strengths (DYS) Program has had difficulties trying to increase attendance and awareness among university students and staff, affecting less than 2% of the student population on the best years that your program has experienced. Individuals who take the assessment find value on it, and they recommend their employees or students to take it. However, the key challenge of this campaign is to come up with recommendations that attract new students or professionals, who have to decide to participate on their own.
One of my strengths that I would like to see improvement is to become more open minded towards other cultures, opinion, and beliefs. The reality is that the process of being open minded takes time and sometimes is a difficult task to accomplish. However, I can say that I have tried to be opened minded when presented with certain situations. Presently, there is a gap from where I am to where I would like to be and that is to let it be and move on. "Students could have opportunities to explore their beliefs about various aspects of the educational system, teaching, learning, equity, and other topics of significance in the field of study"(Richardson p.266) No matter how much I try, at times my belief, culture, education, or natural plays a toll
If I were to ask my peers to evaluate my strengths, they would say my leadership, trustworthiness, and empathy towards others. One of my strengths is my leadership. Throughout the course of high school, I have been in a leadership role a countless number of times. I have been the captain of the basketball team, memorizing plays and defenses and assisting my teammates to help them understand. At one point during the season with our new coach, I was able to make the play calls for our offense and defense. Also within group projects, I am always the group leader because I take initiative. With this comes another one of my strengths, trustworthiness. I am trusted by my classmates to do certain tasks, and by parents of our community to babysit and
One of my strengths is that I am hardworking with everything I do. I want to do well when I attempt something, so I make sure I give my all to everything that I attempt to accomplish. This usually pays off and when it does not, I know I tried my best and that is all the matters to me. I am also very dependable and trustworthy. My manager made a revelation yesterday that I had never called into work within the five years that I have worked there. I have a strong morale code and feel guilty when I miss an obligation; therefore, I try to do it as little as possible.
What did you learn about your leadership? Personal Assessment of Strengths and Areas for Development.
Everyone is different in many ways. There are differences in gender, nationality, religious activities and there are differences in strengths and weaknesses. Those strengths and weaknesses are looked at in Corporate America and they assist the higher management in making decisions for the roles we play on each team. I will be discussing my strengths ' and weaknesses.
As it turns out with many people, our strengths can also be weaknesses, depending on how one looks at them. Personally, my drive and work ethic can cause me to be impatient. It has been difficult to wait 3 years to get my degree. It will take me additional patience to go to chiropractic school and wait another 3.5 ears to enter the working field. Patience for me is a daily commitment to my goals.
My strengths include working in a fast paced environment. I am also skilled in working with both large and small teams. I am also skilled in solving challenging problems that are involved at work. I am skilled in quick research as well.
Have you ever experienced something that changed your outlook on life? Personal strength is realizing you are at low times, but finding the positives even when it seems like nothing will get better. During times of weakness, I struggled with finding hope and strength within myself. Personal strength defines us as individuals. Because I experienced the loss of a good friend, and the divorce of my parents at a young age, I was able to find personal strength.
Every human being has strengths whether they see and recognize them or not. I know that it can be hard for a person to acknowledge their strengths but it is always good to do this. In doing so a person learns more about themselves, and I believe that it helps them in their self-esteem. While people do have strengths, there are areas in which a person can exhibit continued growth. No human being is perfect, and that is okay. It is okay if one acknowledges the diminished growth and strives to make it more useful.
Over the past 18 years of my life on this earth I have felt that I have created my strengths from my past experiences and my urge to become the best person that I can be. It also plays into the type of student that I want to be and can be with the evolution or continuation of my education. Over my lifetime I noticed that some of the strengths that I have discovered in myself are my math skills, my ability to somewhat talk to people, my problem-solving capabilities, and my sympathy towards people who are going through issues in their lives. The reason why I highlight these “strengths” is due to the fact that I don't really notice very many “strengths” in myself or I just don't view my strengths as actual strengths, but I feel like these are my most important and
