We think of computers as being incredibly intelligent now, but actually in terms of brain power an average computer today has the intelligence of a mouse. According to Moore’s Law, computing power doubles every 18 months. In other words, it increases at an extreme rate. The rapid pace of change brings fear into the eye of a technophobe and some of today’s most eminent scientists are now warning that the evolution of technology may spell the end of humankind. Even now, the greatest threat to job creation is the increasing reliance on robotics in industrial factories. As robots don’t need specific conditions; they are perfect for performing jobs that might be harmful to humans. Like the R2 humanoid at the International Space Station, which completes dangerous and mundane tasks for astronauts and frees their time. They also boost our health; they are working with scientists to create an exoskeleton for quadriplegic people. Robots aren’t evil, they’re useful machines that have so much to offer and make our lives safer.lives

Imagine how much better life could be with robotics helping us out with things such as disabilities. The main issue is that robots are getting a bad rep. People don’t realize that our future has a really bright side with robots. Especially robots helping us with with medical issues, but people just focus on the bad side. Our future with robots will not be as bad as you think it will.

A robot is a complex machine doing a series of duty’s which it is programmed by a computer to give a machine artificial human intelligence. We have robots to make our life easier. For example, we have dishwashers so we don't have to wash our dishes by had, and we have printers, so we don't have to copy everything. We also have robots so human life isn't endangered. There is a firefighter robot who goes and saves people from fires because regular firefighters may get injured while on that job, unlike a robot, putting no human’s in danger.

The technology promises seemingly limitless possibilities. Robots are already living among us, controlling your refrigerator, your smart phone, your personal computer and even your car. Some technology advancements sound far-fetched to contemporary ears, and many people hesitate at the prospect of adopting them. Nonetheless should we embrace a cyborg future in which tasks great and small are carried out by robots? As robots are becoming increasingly common in human environments, people will be presented with more opportunities in addition existing jobs in healthcare may be replaced by software, humanoid robots and smart machines by the year 2025. And there are two WORDS with various opinions on this prospect.

We are all familiar with the ‘ROBOTS’. So, the question is that, “WHAT IS A ROBOT?” The answer lies here: A robot is a mechanical or virtual artificial agent, usually an electro-mechanical machine that is guided by a computer program or electronic circuitry. Robots can be autonomous, semi-autonomous or remotely controlled and range from humanoids such as ASIMO and TOPIO to Nano robots, 'swarm ' robots, and industrial robots. By mimicking a lifelike appearance or automating movements, a robot may convey a sense of intelligence or thought of its own. Robots are said to be the future of mankind.

If someone asked you with all the syfy movies you watch how many of them are robot based movies. Your response would most likely be a lot of them. In the world today it's a real fear that not just Americans but humans have that technology will take over the world. With every technological advance we take there is always a group of people looking for ways to get through back doors. Back doors lead to the dark web which is where people deal illegal drugs, sell body parts and people. This is a prime example of that people repeat themselves time and time again through the generations. In more recent years we have seen that in the automobile industry the jobs became more automated the workers went on strike. They didn't show up to work and refused to do so for days. This shows that even though we have been through a situation once we don’t learn from our mistakes.

Robots are becoming more and more advanced. As employers implement more automation, it is likely that many will lose their jobs to a robot. Robots have already been employed in many industries successfully especially in manufacturing. This automation improves the productivity in manufacturing and in effect, reduces the costs to make products. Manufacturing jobs now populated by people have many Musculoskeletal disease risk factors. With the application of robots, workers will not have to put themselves at risk for personal injury caused by MSD’s. Research shows that repetitive work can cause musculoskeletal diseases in humans, but fortunately, robots are starting to acquire the tedious, manual labor jobs that enhance these diseases more; therefore, robots are seen as an ethical improvement to job safety and wellness.

The concept of creating machines that can operate autonomously, but research into the functionality and potential uses of robots did not grow in a proper way til the 20th century. Throughout history, robotics has been often seen to mimic human behavior, and often manage tasks in a similar fashion. Today, robotics is a rapidly growing work place, as technological advances continue, research, design. Building new robots serve various practical purposes, whether domestically, commercially, or militarily. Many robots do jobs that are dangerous for people. eg-> defusing bombs, mines and exploring shipwrecks etc.

Robots were once just metal objects, but with the advancement of technology they now have biological features. Now, a robot can be seen with skin that almost looks just like a humans and almost feels like “real human skin” (Christensen 2). The robot also has been advanced with biological features such as eyes and hair along with the skin. Not only is technology advancing the outside biological features of the robot, but it is also advancing the ones on the inside as well. Robots used to contain nothing inside of them, but wires and metal. Humans have now figured out how to “incorporate human brain cells” (Mitchell 1) inside of the robot itself. The human brain cells are now helping robots control themselves instead of having someone else control the robot. A robot advancing to having self-control is allowing them to be seen as human beings. Hair, eyes, and fingernails are making the robot hard to distinguish actual humans from robots. Robots could “look so human that we may not be able to tell man apart from machine” (Zolfagharifard 2). Advancements in artificial intelligence are now allowing robots to have intelligent conversations with humans. If you think robots are the kind of thing you hear about in science-fiction movies, think again. Right now, all over the world, robots are performing thousands of tasks. They are probing our solar system for signs of life, building cars at the General Motors plants, assembling Oreo cookies for Nabisco and defusing bombs for the SWAT team. As they grow tougher, more mobile, and more intelligent, today’s robots are doing more and more of the things that humans can’t or don’t want to do and in many cases taking away the need for human labor.

There are many jobs that technology have eliminated in the past decade or so. New types of technology have been coming in to "help" and modernize this new generation. There are even scientists creating robots to physically replace a human and complete the human's labor with great ease. Personally I have a few concerns and fears about this topic in general. I get this feeling that robots can turn against us and try to invade the world and the human population. This may end up leading to a man against machine war in the near future. This can affect me in an unpleasant way because I probably won't have a good shot of being successful with a job knowing that we could change our future for the worst. Personally I want to fist fight a robot and see who wins but that's irrelevant so let me just continue my story.
