Rules of Third Rule of Third was an easy task to complete. In this picture I took, I frame the phone to be on the side but not all the way. I made the phone more interesting by turning on the camera and letting the landscape fill in. My success with this photo is that it brings more attention to what’s going on in the phone and bring a perfect image in my opinion. Leading Line Leading lines was way too easy for me. The skill for leading lines is minimum and it’s everywhere. In this image, the edge of the roof leads to the focal point with is the girl. The image itself is amazing to me, the lighting, the angle, and the way my eyes follow the line to the subject. This assignment was easy for me to complete and help me think …show more content…
It was basic but I feel I would not have thought of it if only I wasn’t eating any pizza rolls. This image is significant to me because I thought more outside the box to creative different perspective. Scavenger Hunt Photo Shoot This image is a leading line photo from September on a scavenger hunt. This picture was meaningful to me because I like how it focused on the railing and went out of focus to the subject which again is Marco. I didn’t know I was actually good at thinking of creative ways to pop an image out more. Therefore, this image gain importance in my photography life because my favorite skill to use is Leading Lines. Football This is my friend, Jayden. In the image, I did a rule of thirds that makes the image more interesting. The way he looks down to the image is too nice and the background is out of focus which makes him stand out. This picture reminds me of Waconia Friday night game where we did lost but was my first Varsity football game. This image bring importance in my photography skill which gives me the confidence to take any picture. Joy In this picture I took outside, I place my friend Joy next to the fence to create a leading line portrait. I like this picture a lot because it has a lot of warm tone and is more vibrance. This picture is useful because I can look back at it to get some ideas on what I should use to take a amazing picture. Double Exposure In this picture, I used three image
From her auburn curls cascading from beneath her tilted hat, to her arm positioning, the trees, clouds, down to the tiniest blades of grass, they all slant one way or the other. The artist has utilized the diagonal line is multiple ways; the slight angles that Reynolds incorporated into each area provides a sense of movement in what could have been a dry and stagnant scene. Along with movement, there lies an illusion of depth: paired with shading, the use of line gives the perception of more area being included than there actually is. These lines also direct the viewer’s eye toward the sitter. Objects located around the edges of the composition lean towards the center, pulling the viewer’s glance directly to the
There is a beam of light coming from the door along the ground and ending at what looks like the beginning of a big red tree. In this picture it looks like the little red leaf that has always symbolised hope has blossomed and the girl is smiling. This shows how through the distinctively visual you can change peoples understanding of events and moods and how over time situations can change and be healed.
As indicated by the shape in the foreground, the lines that signify the contour of the rocks and freestanding structure merge. The lines lead the eye vertically as it meets the center. When looking at the painting as a whole, the viewer can see how the artist uses straight
I was chosen this image for this essay is because this picture is so attack me because this picture had a cool color that make me feel warm inside and make me want to back to be a young girl. When I feel so tired and want to feel fresh I can look at this image for relax my self. And for this
A man and woman are walking over the bridge while a dog is walking toward them, and another man is gazing out in the water. In this painting I have three orthogonal lines starting with the first one on the top corner of the building on the left side. This line then follows across the roofline, down through the man walking’s neck, through the woman’s skirt. This line then finishes on the cement and ending on the shadow of the dog. Orthogonal line two starts at the end of the bridge railing on the bottom right side. The line then continues down the railing, crossing through the old man in green and through the woman and man walking near each other. This line will end on the building in the left corner and right above the buggy by finishing on the building. The third and final line starts along the sidewalk on the bottom left side, leading up the sidewalk and going through the man’s coat, head and hat, while ending on building in the middle of the painting. The vanishing point leads us to the man that’s walking’s head while he is looking away at the water. This vanishing point pulls the focus of the painting on the man and also the women next to him on the bridge.
The image I chose was a PSA on hunting with respect. The author of this image is not known but the image was found on pinterest. However what is known is, the author is a hunter who treats every animal he kills with respect. When many people see the image displayed in the PSA they may just see an antler and a knife, but I see a deeper meaning. I chose this image because I am an avid hunter and this PSA matches up very closely with my views on hunting ethics. I believe every animal should be treated with respect. Many people who don’t hunt have a hard time understanding this concept. This PSA is a great way to show others what goes through a hunter’s head.
In my artwork, I presented my name in the style of graffiti. I have included musical notations around the letters. This connects to me because I love singing and listening to music. I also added the musical notes because music represents a big part of my life. Next, I added the zig zag cloud around my name because it is similar to the Nickelodeon logo, and I added it because I used to love watching shows on Nickelodeon when I was younger. The colour choices are the way they are because since one of my favorite colours is light purple/blue, I made the zig zag cloud that colour. The colours in my name represent my favorite season which is autumn, since warm colours represent autumn/fall weather. Lastly, I chose a black brick wall to apply a
There are a number of technical aspects used in this photograph. It uses depth of field which gives a focused image. The photograph lacks sharpness apart from the flower that Jan Rose Kasmir is holding. The flower has a sharp focus and looking closely at the image, the quality in the flower compared to the focus in the young woman’s face is quite different. The way that this has been created makes the flower more appealing than looking at the guards or the young woman. The message in this photograph is direct and it’s clear to see the importance of the
Since he is disconnected from his electronical body, that can symbolize our connection to our technological devices, his facial expression is lost and lack of personality. Below the image on the post, the created add text that states, “how connected do we need to be before technology destroys own sense of personality” I feel this really connects with peoples’ emotions relating to current issues. Technology is because more advanced by the day, and while these advancements can be extremely helpful, it also becomes extremely addicted and loose sense of ourselves while using these devices. When we are “disconnected” from technology, some people do not know how to act because the addiction and obsession with technology is normal in today’s society. I also feel that technology can affect a person’s personality in a way that nothing else can by things people can witness and be exposed to online. I believe this can be good and some ways and bad in other ways, but I do believe that this occurs more than people realize. The creator also mentioned in their blog that they enjoy photoshopping because it can “illustrate the impossible”, and “can let your mind run wild” I feel this also appeals to the emotions and creativity of the audience. The image is does create the impossible, creating this shock factor, and the audience’s minds can run wild
This image was to me, one of the most beautiful images, because it showed so much character, perseverance, and selflessness. After all, since she was poor, she could've saved the apples to provide for family, but instead she decided to give the apples to other people.
Another way this image could be used as a visual element is it could be put up in a training studio for figure skating as an inspiration to other young figure skaters.
The picture to the left is an example of using lines to lead the viewers eye. The actual line in the center of the page directs the eye up the picture to the mountains. The
When one observes a painting or drawing, the lines direct the eyes attention and dictate the piece. Line is applied in nearly every aspect of art, whether is an actual mark on a piece of paper or if it is implied in the work. Horizontal, vertical, angular, curving and diagonal. are all descriptive characteristics of line. In The Maundy Thursday Festival before the Ducal Palace in Venice, by Canaletto, the line work that was chosen guides the audience’s eye in the direction intended by the artist and was beneficial in providing boundaries. The diagonal lines help to elicit the viewer's attention from the foreground to the steeple and palace in the background. The disarrayed foreground is balanced by the use of strong vertical lines, making
Although the use of line and light is not as defined as the color scheme, they still play an important role in the overall organization of the painting. Gauguin uses curvilinear lines throughout this work with no right angles or sharp points. The outlines in the background are fairly blurry and some of the lines blend into one another. In contrast, the characters in the foreground are comprised of precise, sharp lines. Gauguin goes as far as lightly outlining the bodies with a dark line in order to give them a sense of depth. Light also serves to enhance certain aspects of the painting. Gauguin has been careful in his use of light to create some areas of brightness and some of darkness. The central figure glows in the bright light, which shines down on her from above. This light shows the importance of the decision of whether to pick the fruit or not. It is focused so directly on one area and is void in the others.
When I look at this portrait, the first thing that hits me is the way
