How often do you think about how your actions affect the environment around you? Human Environment Interaction is the impact the ecosystem has on human, how keeping the environment safe is good for our essential well-being, and how our values and and knowledge of the environment affects us. Equally important, is how any type weather affects us on what we wear, what crops we grow and how they grow, and what types of activities we partake in that day. In addition, how different environments of places cause what people do in those places, how people act or are, how the weather is compared to other places in the world. Although people may believe that cutting down trees may not be harmful to them and nature, the correlation between human lifestyle and nature is important to both sides since it creates oxygen that we breath, and we use important goods from the environment to create homes and communities, it is also important since the weather helps us grow crops and plants. Human Environment Interaction(HEI): The interactions between humans and the environment that surrounds them. Anytime you walk out and smell flowers, or breathe the air that trees create you are interacting with the environment. To truly understand HEI you must be informed of the values and knowledge of it. For years, humans have torn down and have done whatever they have wanted to the environment but now it has come back to hurt us. As humans must know when to tear down certain environments in moderation instead of tearing down what we have, know when to replant and regrow what we have torn down. When we do tear down the environments we impact the ecosystem. As stated before, by doing this the environment is coming back and hurting us with the rising temperatures and the phenomenon which is global warming. This is dangerous to do since the environment is essential to our well-being. Nature is good for us as, once again, it produces oxygen for us to breathe, and materials to produce homes and products. On the other hand though, we do not just affect the environment, the environment affects us most importantly, weather does. The weather is another thing people overlook on a daily basis. You look outside the window and notice that it’s sunny.
Human- Environment Interaction is how humans are involved with the land around them and how their actions affect others. If farmers used up all the minerals in one field, they would use a different field to let the depleted one recover.
Human Environmental Interaction is when the human interacts with the environment and the environment interacts with the humans too. Some of these scenery like the Amazon river and Brazil’s rain forest, they interact with the human a lot because they allow humans to get away from the city and technology and see the beautiful thing that nature has and also what it can provide to us.
Human activity can negatively impact on the environment in different ways, which can lead to consequences which are not only bad for the environmental area affected, but humans too. Activities such as causing radiation leaks with nuclear meltdowns and dumping waste are just some examples of how humans can worsen their own environment.
The relationship between humans and their environment is a topic that engenders much debate. Humans are intellectual. They can think, reason, feel and make deductions or hypothesis and seek to solve or prove their deductions or theories. The environment on the other hand is inanimate and exists by means of natural laws and principles that govern the universe. It cannot prevent man’s exploitations; it cannot take up arms and fight. However, in its own way, by natural laws, it makes efforts to purge and renew itself from the effects of man’s endeavors. Mangor (2002) argues that like the ocean that
Ecosystems is the dynamic complex of plant, animal and micro-organism communities and their non-living environment that work together to form a functional unit and they are constantly changing due to the fluctuating equilibrium from natural stress and human action which has had adversarial impacts on ecosystems. This is evident in Minnamurra rainforest as human induced modifications and environmental stresses had resulted in a vulnerable ecosystem. Furthermore, the removal of factors that contribute to the vulnerability of an ecosystem is important as it affect the functioning of the ecosystem as processes are accelerated, biodiversity is decreased which greatly affects humans. Despite the negative effects caused by humans, they have discovered that ecosystems are susceptible from harm caused by natural environmental factors or human impacts and realised the importance of protecting and managing ecosystems therefore have implemented management strategies that are supposed to prevent further detriment and as a consequence may induce resiliency.
The audience of this book is presumed to be the general person who is not fully intact with the ideas that he or she is disrupting the ecosystem and is not aware of the effects they are doing as a whole. The book argues that no ecosystem is completely inert as things such as climate changes or drought can also affect the enviorment. Without human interaction an environment can still have issues, but the introduction of human life and economy does take a grave toll on the climate. These are irreversible effects that mankind are doing to the ecosystem. The English
The underlying strength of this study debunks the theory that the environment influences us. In reality, it is the people who influence the environment. However, the weakness of this study is that their information cannot be independently evaluated.
The environment influences many of the choices we make in life. How we life our life and certain standards we have are sometimes caused or influenced by the environment. It determines choices we make in our sexuality as well as choices we make to build upon our happiness. Many of the activities we engage in the early years can sometimes affect our lives throughout late adulthood. Some of these same environmental influences are carried down generation after generation.
Humankind co-exists with the natural world many may say. However, humankind is constantly drifting away from nature, and we as humans no longer interact with the natural world around us. Today most of the society focuses on technology and other aspects that distract us from being in contact with nature. As we grow in our lives we seem to die in our interactions with nature, causing us to become less involved, and then that causes nature to die itself. From us neglecting the environment we suffer great consequences with the natural world and within ourselves. We lack the ability to understand and connect with the environment, and with us not focused on our world we cause it to become into dangerous hands. We no longer should just sit back and
Laurance argues that human beings have the heaviest impact on nature. The author givessamples of each environment and how it has changed for the worst. There is fact provided witheach section giving examples of each and the measurements of what has changed. This sourceprovides information from scholarly, well known authors, and facts from many scientist aroundthe world. I can use this source to show how human beings have such a drastic effect on theirenvironments, proven with facts and statistics from all over the world.
Instead of responding to God’s precious gifts that were given to us with faith, thanks and responsibility, most of these environmental problems are the result of human practices. This is the result of the different worldviews that people have. Worldviews determine our values and beliefs; help us to understand the world around us, and in general function works as a guide to life (Wright, 2003, p. 9). However, cultural and environmental conditioning tends to enslave us to ways of thinking and behaving, usually without us realizing it. While some view nature as being merely for men' use, others view nature as a consumable resource that we have been given, others as inexhaustible, others as something to use and replace, others as something to look at, but not to touch, others as a cosmic
As I mentioned before our environment has a great effect on our nature. For example a theory claimed that, the first humans
Nearly everything that a human does is in response to the environment. Our lives are defined by what is around us and what we find in front of us, whether this means accepting, dealing with or changing it. This has been the pattern since primates first stood up and became Homo erectus, and has continued until we considered ourselves doubly wise. The shape of the land affected where humans moved. Weather was something with which to contend. Fire affected humans until they conquered it – and herein lies the core of the relationship. The earth affects humans, and humans affect it back, viewing characteristics and patterns as problems and challenges, and finding a solution.
The decline of the environment due to natural and human exertion is known as the degradation of the environment. The natural weather occurrences such as heavy rain, flooding, storms, earthquakes, volcanoes etc. are not administered under human control. These meteorological phenomenon’s wreak devastation on the environment from time to time causing the land to become unsuitable to cultivate. On this subject matter, the human population does not contain the power to stop the wrath of Mother Nature. Rather, we are forced to sit back and watch. Nevertheless, humans engage in a crucial role towards the degradation of the environment in which we live in. Unavoidably, the degradation of the environment is a rising and utmost worldwide subject. I accept that the root cause to environmental degradation is the excessive use of resources on our land utilized by the processes under capitalism. As Jensen wrote in Endgame, “The global industrial economy is the engine for massive environmental degradation and massive human and (nonhuman) impoverishment.
To define environmental psychology, one must do so by considering the following four key features: “interactive approach; interdisciplinary and international; problem-focused, applied field; and diversity of methods” (Steg et. al., 2013, p. 5-6). To sum, interactive behavior is best understood by me as one’s interactions with nature and the effect nature ends up having on one after engagement has occurred. As a child, I grew up in Jackson County Forest in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. As well, with an indigenous and sustainable upbringing, I was more prone to participate in all aspects of my life with a holistic and reverent attitude. As it is explained in the textbook, the environment molded my past and current ongoing attitude and beliefs towards the environment. I am aware this is significant to note as those who are not brought up in such environments, as raw as the forests I grew up in, have a relationship with nature that is to be considered an ongoing work in progress. However, I must add the environment has changed for better and worse and has affected my outlook towards the future of places like Jackson County Forest. For instance, the environment is now considered more of a nuisance because of the amount of drugs that can be hidden, grown, and dealt bordering many cities and reservations. This juxtaposes the initial behavior and reverence I once had as a child and as an adolescent, who saw the forest as a place to partake in ceremonial practices with tribal
