This week, the most difficult part of the reading assignment was section 1.7 Transformations. While the beginning was easy enough for me to follow I soon started to become bogged down with the number of types. I counted seven definitions in the chapter, all rather long, that included vertical shifts, horizontal shifts, reflections, vertical scalings, horizontal scalings and transformations. I read the entire section at least five times and the examples, especially towards the end of the section, a few times more before understanding it well enough to at-tempt the exercises. The examples were really good and had an artistic quality about them which I found interesting. Thinking back on the reading it was the tables themselves that con-fused me and which I needed to follow close, and with greater thought, to really understand. Even though there’re meant to further comprehension, which after careful following they do, it took me a few read overs. Sometimes getting lost in all the x, (x,f(x)), f(x), g(x) = f(2x), etc.. overwhelmed me and I had to move forward and come back to it later. I will give credit as the section was well explained well by the authors.

Most of it seemed like getting reacquainted with an old friend (or an old opponent one gains respect for) and still learn something new about them, and while it did seem daunting I got through it with a better understanding of the Quad Func (this would be a great name for a musical group or a DJ). Of course, like the unpredictable within the predictable form, she surprised me with the unexpected and difficult moves while dancing around my mathematical abilities. The examples and exercises in this section were good. very helpful and had examples of real-world
In Peter Singer’s 1972 post titled “Famine, Affluence and Morality”, he conveys that wealthy nations, for example the United States, has an ethical duty to contribute much a lot more than we do with regards to worldwide assistance for famine relief and/or other disasters or calamities which may happen. In this document, I will describe Singers objective in his work and give his argument with regards to this problem. I will describe 3 counter-arguments to Singer’s view which he tackles, and after that reveal Singer’s reactions to those counter-arguments. I will explain Singer’s idea of marginal
The goal of communications is to make ethics a live, ongoing conversation. If ethics is something that is constantly addressed, referenced frequently in company meetings, and in personal conversations among managers and employees, then people are more aware and more willing to defend the company’s policies when they see or hear of problems. Employees will hold other employees responsible and accountable for living the company’s values.
Why is history important? It is both necessary and helpful to the study the context of prior history because it reveals who we are in relation to other people, cultures, and countries. History influences the way people can process information viewed from other races, and cultures, and even speak, “The old saying is, if we don’t know where we came from then we don’t know where we are going.” By studying history we can take what others’ have done and build on it.
Companies find opportunities in product innovation by providing new products and services to customers. This keeps current customers interested in doing business with the company and has the potential to attract new customers. Sometimes this is done by creating new products, greatly changing an existing product or by just changing the way the current product is presented. Another form of product innovation is branding. By creating a more positive brand image a company can keep the interest of consumers.

Unfortunately, this company has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 due to the fact that they advised the applicant that they could not make the necessary adjustments to accommodate her needs. The American with Disabilities Act of 1990 does require that companies make necessary adjustments to accommodate the needs of qualified applicants. The key words to me are qualified applicants. They did use the words undue hardship in their response for denial but they would have to prove that modifying 2 elevators is actually a hardship to their company. My response to my classmates an instructor was helpful, by retaining information and responding to my classmates and instructor by asking question about the various information that was posted in this week’s discussion.
(4). The first step is to work out the details, the second step is to finding imperfections and complication. Working out the details means to determine exactly how your solution will be applied. The reader next step will be to check for common kinds of imperfections. How can the reader get people to see his point of view, that’s one solution? Be very clear when making his argument. The reader resolution to the topic is to first get all parties to agree on the subject at hand which is media violence and what we can do to fix this problem, we know this was an issue at first than it became a problem, because the parties could not come to an agreement.
