Did you know that Asthmatic attacks can be triggered by allergens, exercise, smoke, pollution, and airway infections?Asthma is when the airways inflame and narrow. Asthma is a respiratory condition marked by spasms in the bronchi of the lungs, causing difficulty in breathing. It usually results from an allergic reaction or other forms of hypersensitivity. This respiratory diseases can be found in children and adults of any age , but they both do have differences in the ways that it could affect the human body.Asthma attacks can appear in adults but usually starts during one's childhood. Asthma is one of the most common respiratory problem that can be controlled with different medications , for example shots can be given, inhalers etc. Asthma attack can happen often to a person but there are also solutions that can calm the attacks but, not every asthma patient can react to the same medications.
Asthma is not the only respiratory illness there is.Another type of respiratory diseases are Lung Disease, which is is any problem in the lungs that prevents the lungs from working properly. As well there is also Respiratory Diseases, which is conditions affecting the organs and tissues that make gas exchange possible in higher organisms, and includes conditions of the upper respiratory tract, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles.

Other more common symptoms are breathlessness, chest pain, wheeze, and cough. What can cause these respiratory illness are the cause of respiratory symptoms that may originate from the lungs and may came accompanied by having a rapid heart rate , low blood pressure and or other cardiovascular signs and symptoms. There are many factors that can trigger many respiratory problems like Asthma for example, air quality, allergies, foods, smoking, and certain infections can be a cause in this
Asthma is a long-term lung disease. Those with asthma have sensitive airways in their lungs which triggers a flare up. When this flare up happens the muscle around the airways squeeze tight and the airways swell, become narrows and produce more mucus. (Anon., 2016) All these things make it harder for a person to breathe. Asthma effects the human body’s respiratory system. Asthma causes a spasm and constriction of the bronchial passages and the swelling and the inflammation of the mucous lining. The body responds by defence cells from the immune system, which causes the airways to swell and the muscles surrounding the airways to contract. Which is what cuts off the airflow. While a person is in asthma attack, the asthmatic cannot breathe which
Asthma is a chronic disease of the airways that makes breathing difficult. With asthma, there is inflammation of the air passages that results in a temporary narrowing of the airways that carry oxygen to the lungs. When this inflammation occurs, the asthma symptoms start to show, such as, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. Even though there are many treatments for asthma symptoms, it is still a very serious disease that affects more than 22 million Americans and brings nearly 2 million E.R. visits per year. Asthma can be lived with very well as long as proper treatment measures are taken (Wrongdiagnosis).
Their are two major types of COPD, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. In emphysema the walls between the air sacs are destroyed. In turn the sacs loose their shape. Their become fewer larger air sac instead of of numerous smaller one. This causes problems with the body getting enough oxygen ("COPD"). Without oxygen the body has to use anaerobic respiration, this is only a short term solution. Our bodies can do this but it produces lactic acid. Our bodies normally use aerobic respiration with requires oxygen. Chronic Bronchitis is when the airways are irritated and inflamed. The linings of the airways also become thick, along with an excess mucus formation. This causes breathlessness ("COPD").
Asthma is a long term non-communicable lung disease that inflames and narrows your airways. If you have asthma then you will most likely have issues with chest tightness (feels like someone is wringing out your insides). You will also have shortness of breath, for example: if you walk up a flight of stairs, you could be breathing like you just ran a marathon. You also tend to have more mucus because
There are an abundance of different types of respiratory diseases/disorders. Many respiratory disorders cause difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, coughing, etc. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) is a general term for a group of different lung diseases, such as emphysema or bronchitis. COPD is a progressive lung disorder which means it starts out slowly developing and gradually worsens over time. COPD, similar to other respiratory diseases, may start out with mild symptoms that the average person may not associate with having a disease. COPD is a progressive “lung disease characterized by chronic obstruction of lung airflow that interferes with normal breathing and is not fully reversible”
There are many diseases that can affect the airway of a patient. The disease that is mostly seen in the airway is asthma. Asthma is one of the most common type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). A COPD is a type of disease or disorder to which the airway is affected and causes breathing to be slowed or forced. It causes the airway to become inflamed, coughing up thick saliva and mucus and to be hypertensive (increased pressures in the blood vessels in the airway) due to any internal or external stimuli. Wheezing occurs during an asthma attack because of the closing of the airway which then causes the lungs to make a whistling sound when the patient is breathing out and can also be during breathing in too. The Patient doesn’t receive the necessary amount of oxygen which leads them to turn pale and blue.
Disease that makes it hard to exhale all the air in the lungs, and when the airways becomes narrow that cause the air to come out slower is considered Obstructive airway disease. In addition patient with obstructive airway disease find it difficult to breathe while increased activity or exertion. Chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Asthma, and Cystic Fibrosis are some of the obstructive airway disease. In details, COPD is a group of conditions characterized by obstruction to airflow in the lungs. Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, and emphysema are condition of COPD. Smoking is the common cause of COPD. “persons with COPD are unable to maintain normal blood gases by increasing their breathing effort. Hypoxemia, hypercapnia, and cyanosis develop, reflecting an imbalance between ventilation and perfusion”(Porth, 2011, p. 582).
Asthma is a chronic and long term disease in the lungs that causes tightness in the chest due to the airways being narrowed and filled with mucus. The airways become sensitive in an asthmatic patient. The airways can become red and swollen from being inflamed or go through a spasm from tightening. Patients usually have trouble sleeping and when affected by a cold or flu, the effects of asthma are amplified. Asthma is not curable but controllable and manageable because it can change and alter over time. Asthma varies from person to person and can be much more severe in certain cases.
Asthma during childhood occurs more commonly in boys than girls. In adulthood, asthma is more commonly seen in women than men and is caused by exposure to allergens. Some symptoms felt during an asthma attack include wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing, especially at night. Not everyone with asthma are affected by symptoms in the same manner. Some may experience mild or severe symptoms at different times. Some people may go long periods of time without experiencing any symptoms, interrupted by periodic worsening of symptoms called asthma attacks. For example, some people may experience asthma only during exercise, or with viral infections, such as colds or the flu. The more common attacks that occur are mild. Normally,
Allergic Asthma or allergy-induced asthma is one of many forms of asthma. Asthma is a chronic lung condition that results in recurring episodes of a difficult problem breathing. According to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America(aafa), about 25 million Americans have some form of asthma. Breathing is a basic essential part of life which is normally done without thinking about it. The people with asthma airway may become inflamed and constricted due to allergens, irritants, physical activities and/or respiratory infection. The symptoms of this chronic condition may vary in the individual person. Some symptoms are coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and produce extra mucus. This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects your airways. Your airways are tubes that carry air in and out of your lungs. If you have asthma, the inside walls of your airways become sore and swollen. That makes them very sensitive, and they may react strongly to things
Respiratory disease is a term which encompasses a wide range of diseases that effect the lungs. Examples of respiratory diseases include, but are not limited to: asthma, tuberculosis and lung cancer (US National Library of Medicine, 2016). Lung diseases are classified as either obstructive or restrictive.
The disease that I got this time is Collapsed Lung. The cause of this is either an injury that would puncture the lung or from air blisters that form in the lung bursting. Some common characteristics or symptoms are shortness of breath and chest/ upper body pain. What is happening chemically there is a puncture/opening in the lung that causes air to escape out and get caught between the chest wall and lung. The extra air in this space doesn't allow the lung to expand as much as it should. People who smoke or are tall and thin are more likely to have this happen to them. To diagnose the disease doctors will listen to your breathing with a stethoscope to see if there are any breathing sounds or a shortness of breathing coming from one of your
Asthma is a condition that effects a person’s breathing. During an asthma attack or episode, a person’s airways narrow and swell and extra mucus is formed. Breathing becomes difficult, especially upon exhaling. The person may cough or wheeze and feel shortness of breath. There are many things that can trigger an asthma attack or make a person’s asthma condition worse like having an upper respiratory virus such as a cold or flu, exercise, inhaling dust or fumes from chemicals or allergies to pets or pollen.
Asthma is a disease which affects the airways of the lungs, causing a kind of wheezing whenever an individual breathes, coughing, and you would run out of breathe a lot quicker than an individual without asthma. The
