As I think of my career, one thing comes to mind is improving the education system in the classroom setting. I plan to get certified to teach secondary education or more specifically the subject of English. My career will begin at the high school, I plan to teach High School English for at least five years. During these years, I hope to continue my own education to receive my master’s degree that way I can better improve my abilities. In doing this I can also improve my teaching abilities, thus helping my students’ education experience.

During my high school career, I have participated in a large majority of the clubs available to me, and held officer positions in most of them as well. In both the National Honor Society and Medical Connections Clubs I am a member of two and four years respectively, and was elected treasurer of both for the 2017-2018 school year. National Honor Society has also given me many community service opportunities, including helping with the Night to Shine organization and a volunteering at a local nursing home.
The personal statement is very important to applicants who intend to be admitted to an undergraduate or graduate school. The role of a personal statement is to make applicants be different from other applicants. It mainly serves the purposes of persuading the admission committee of applicants’ great passion for the study field, explaining their experience that shaped their personality, demonstrating their longtime desire and commitment for the degree, and showing their life goals. What the admission committee is looking for in a personal statement varies from school to school, major to major. Art and Design is a unique program requiring its prospective students to be different in every aspect. The Art and Design Admission Committee is looking for a student who has creative potential in all respects. Hence, for those who want to apply to the School of Art and Design, they should understand how to present their stories, experiences, practice, goals, philosophy, inspirations, and aspirations in a creative way.

I have chosen a business related course as I have been interested in this field from GCSE level & I believe that I have the qualities to forge a successful career in this area. I have been inspired to fulfil this path by my Uncle, a director at a successful company in England
I started to gain interest in leadership and helping others in Junior High. I was really inspired by the upperclassmen. So, with the motivation I had, I applied to be in W.E.B. It is an organization where you become role models for your underclassmen and you also help around campus. I have done W.E.B for two years and for those two years, I’ve led many groups of kids around campus. I eventually became friends with those underclassmen. It felt amazing knowing that I am a person that kids can come and talk to. And that’s what I wanted, having people feel comfortable around me, but also takes me seriously. I may be goofy, but I can be serious.

Corporations and educators have noticed the essential role of good writing skills in individual’s everyday life. Effective personal statement can’t be composed in one sitting or even in one week. Beginning early is fundamental, and early may implies months ahead of time of the accommodation due date. A few candidates compose a few altogether different draft renditions of a personal statement before choosing which approach works best for them. Show drafts of your own announcement to the same number of individuals as you can. Individuals who know you well ought to have the capacity to peruse your own announcement and perceive that no one but you could have composed it, that it doesn't sound at all generic. People who don't have any acquaintance with you well ought to have the capacity to peruse your own announcement and infer that they have never met anybody
Being involved in school, not only shows a well-rounded student but a student who loves being part of something bigger. That is the real reason behind my passion for helping others. School clubs and leadership opportunities were the way to go when I entered high school. High school was terrifying enough as a freshmen and not having any social skills made it that more difficult. I needed to find a club that I knew I would enjoy and would allow me to interact more with my class. I decided to pick a group that consisted only of freshmen: freshmen student council.
English is the language commonly used in the world. In the trend of globalization today, the importance of English can’t be denied and ignored because it is widely used everywhere in the world. If learners want to learn better English, they not only develop skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, but also should have knowledge of grammar and semantics.
Today, formal grammar is essential in our academic careers, requiring us to write concise and professional assignments in order to exercise creativity and leave impressions on our peers. Although, the effectiveness of the explicit instruction of formal grammar is still under speculation; even individuals from academic and research backgrounds are skeptical about whether explicit formal grammar instruction is effective at all. Although, it sounds nonsensical to even consider abolishing this instructional method, for why should learning grammar be based on one’s own knowledge of it? Why should the student’s initial experience with grammar be deemed as more important than proper instruction? The explicit instruction of formal grammar in society is necessary, for the consequences of removing this practice can prevent core grammar from being taught in the first place. Also, even if other methods would prove more effective, applying this would be too much of a risk, and ultimately keep students from discovering personal interests in English, and make it more difficult for foreign students to learn English as a second language.
Have you experienced a climate that is so dry that all that you see immediately in front of you is dirt and when you open your mouth, you can taste the dust? What I describe is my hometown. I’m a Chinese student born in Lanzhou. Lanzhou is a remote provincial capital that is full of dust due to the enormous sand storms that occur there. In Lanzhou, we have to weather the storm. The education I received, the support from my family, and the local weather condition made me strong in Lanzhou, and I bring this strength with me here to the United States to achieve my goals.
Grammar is the basis for the English language, yet is not uncommon to approach a teenager, or even an adult that has a genuine fear and even a distaste for grammar. While they likely know the value of such a construct, the endless rules and complex exceptions to grammar rules has created a sense of dread among many learners. Yet, it is not only the student that shies away from grammar conversations, but many teachers themselves feel inadequate in the grammar usage, both in speaking and writing, as well as their assessment of student writing. With the national push to embed writing across the curriculum, many teachers feel ill-prepared to assess students on their grammar. While they may concede it is important, many teachers would argue the place for grammar is only in the English classroom. However, this poses the question, if students isolate grammar usage to their English class, how will they be equipped to transfer correct usage skills in their future careers which will likely be outside the field of English?
It is fairly easy to determine a person’s educational background based on a single conversation; whether through written messages or a verbal conversation, word choice and grammar are very apparent. Grammar in the formal writing style is needed to ensure that writing is flowing and understandable. Without it a writer will not be respected in the writing world. American English is very complex with various tenses and many different grammatical rules that can be very hard to learn and master. However rules are very important in order to use the language effectively. Even though some argue that it can be a waste of time, formal grammar instruction is an essential component to becoming a good writer because students themselves want to improve their grammar, and without proper usage, written works can become confusing.
