Only touch what you need to, leave things as they are. Advise the abused person not to wash or remove clothing, try to touch the clothing as little as possible. Do not touch items/weapons wait for the police. The room should be made secure and no one should be able to enter unless necessary. You will describe different types of abuse, the signs and symptoms associated with them and what to do if you are aware of or suspect an individual has been abused or you note unsafe practice. You will research failings in care services and explore how best practice can help to keep individuals safe. You will also identify the range of people who may be involved with safeguarding, along with the policies and procedures that govern best safeguarding practice.
When in a health and social care environment, there are always strategies and procedures in place which will help individuals to be at minimal risk of abuse. However there needs to be specific procedures in place that will help decrease any amount of risk.
2.1 if i suspect someone is being abused i will talk in private, mentioning some of the things that concern me, if is right that the person is being abused I will ask them what they want to do, advise my manager about the situation and inform about they will need help, taking a note about what person is saying and asking when, who, where. Emotional child abuse is a pattern of behaviour that attacks a child's emotional development and their overall sense of well-being. This can include excessive or aggressive and unreasonable demands that can put expectations on a child beyond that of their capability. For example, three-year olds cannot be expected to be able to sit quietly for an extended period of time, due to the fact that they just simply do not have the physical control of their bodies yet. However still, you would find many parents placing this unrealistic expectation on a young child, only to end up getting frustrated due to the lack of the child's compliance.
