GENESIS: the creation week
Introduction
This presentation is about the book of Genesis in the Old Testament. Its main purpose will be to educate you, the audience on hermeneutics, the literal and contextual interpretations of the creation story, as well as the history, author, date and importance of the book of Genesis.
Throughout history, people have asked the ultimate question 'Where did it all begin?' For the majority of fundamentalist Christians, the belief is that the beginning of all life itself came from the supreme power of the Almighty Lord God. This point of view appears in the Bible, but can this be taken in a completely literal sense? Did one God create it all? Through examination of the literal and contextual meanings

Each day interpretation
On the first day God creates the foundation on which the rest of the earth and surrounding universe is built. This begins with his command let there be light'. He then goes on to separate the light from the darkness, naming them night and day.
On the second day God creates the sky, which is described as separating the waters above from the waters below' and the sky is named heaven
On the third day god creates the land and the sea through the command to the water be gathered together in one place and let the dry land appear'. Next he creates the grass and other foliage such as trees and plants with fruits and seeds.
On the fourth day god creates the lights in the sky of heavens to divide the day from the night', in simple terms this means the sun, moon and the stars.
On the fifth day God adds life to the earth, 'let the waters bring forth in great numbers moving creatures that have life, and let the birds fly above the
In Genesis God created the earth in six days and declared rest for the seventh day. On day one, God created light to part it from darkness, calling the light “day” and the darkness “night”. On day two, he created the sky, allowing him to create land and sea on day three. God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and separate the day and the night" on the fourth diurnal (Fairchild, 2013). These elements would also serve to establish days, season, and years. On the fifth day God created all the organisms on the land, sea, and sky and made sure they would flourish.
The God had plenty of ideas and plans up his sleeve of what to put on this planet, but he did not know where to begin. Helios thought about it all night and when he went to sleep, he dreamt about this world. The next morning, Helios had a clean slate of his world in his mind, he first wrote down all his ideas on a piece of paper and one by one, he used his magical wand and created his thoughts. The Sun God begins by creating plants that would supply for food and grow on this very land. Helios then creates animals, tame and heroic ones and evil and aggressive ones for stability in the animal world. One after another he created the rabbits,
“Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are” Genesis 13:14. The word genesis is the dawning of creation, and the biblical book of Genesis is the book that brings fourth the creation of our planet and the life that resides. Genesis also describes the descent of Adam and Eve and unveils the foundation that sin builds upon. Genesis introduces the origin of the holy land, Israel, and inception of holy covenants promised by the holy trinity; the son, the father, and the holy spirit. Genesis communicates the definite events of one of the most contended controversies of our current philosophical climate, the origin of all things existing. This holy book of creation faces several critical issues, such as stylistic variation, and
And the light appeared. God saw that the light was good and decided to separate light from dark. God named the light Day, he named the dark night.” Now in the Greek version; “First came dark and then came the God of Light.” The biblical creation had the same structure in the way that they both brought night and day by the light and the darkness.
What if the day and night is the separation between good and evil. History shows that humans measure their days and nights based on the sun. If there was no sun, what kind of day and night was it? Were these beginnings days and nights, God’s time and not the human measured time? God continues, He then creates the sun and the stars; the formation of new elements and a solar system. God then created fish and birds, animals that live in the sea and animals that fly above land; the creation story is thus relinked to Big History. God continues to create more organisms and animals. Then on the sixth day, man and woman were created. In the creation story, there is not days that show the emergence of agriculture or industrial ideas. God rests on the seventh day. The seventh day can be seen as the future, but I like to think the seventh day is when collective learning emerges and that there is will be always be an invisible eighth day. The eighth day would represent the
In the beginning there was only sky the first place and light the first shining body. clouds did not exist. winds did not exist and darkness did not exist there was only light and so it was always day. Wandi the creator then blew some wiriki and the sky people came into being. they built many houses and villages all filled with wanadi's light. The creation method is by blowing
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day” (Genesis 1:6-8). God on the second day, as explained in the Bible, is very active on this day. He makes the sky, which forms a barrier between the surface of the water, and moisture in the air.
In the beginning, there was darkness. Nothing but an endless empty space. There were two beings in charge of that empty space and their names were Deus and Diablo. Deus decided one day that he was bored of all the empty space so he made light and instantly, light reached out to the furthest corners of the universe. He was happy. Deus decided that when the light was on, it would be called night and when it was light out, it would be called day. The next day, it was Diablo’s time to make something. Diablo didn’t like all the empty space, so he decided to fill it with a giant sphere made out of rocks, dirt, and water. He called this sphere, Earth. He made more spheres of all different sizes and placed them all around the universe. He called them
On the second day God separated the earth, waters and heaven, “6 And God said, “Let there be an expansion the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.
Creation occurred in what was said to be seven days. In day one God created light, though the source of light was not specified. Next, the separation of light, more commonly known as night and day. On the second day God created a firmament that separated two spaces from each other, and it was called heaven. On the third day God created land to separate the oceans, along with earth vegetation. On the fourth day Measurements of time were made for days, weeks, months, seasons, and years for the light to shine on the earth. The lights are the sun the moon and the stars. On the fifth day God created sea creatures and flying creatures and allowed them to reproduce. On the sixth day God created land animals such as cattle and
At first,God made the heaven and the Earth. And the earth was waste and without form. It was dark on the face of the deep. So the spirit of God was moving on the face of the water. God said that let there be light. And then, there was light. Then God ,looking on the light, saw that it was good that make a division between the light and the dark, naming the light,Day,and the dark,Night. So there was evening and there was morning. Then God let there be a solid arch stretching over the waters, parting the waters from the waters. And made the arch for a division between the waters which were under the waters and those which were over it and
“And God called the light day, and the darkness he called night”. The second day God constructed the Earth’s atmosphere, seperating the water into two parts:
the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the
In the beginning God create the heavens and the earth. At the time the earth was like a void, darkness everywhere consuming the planet, and God said four words, “and let there be light.” Then there on that planet earth God separated light from dark. He blessed the light and called the light day, and he cursed the dark and called it night. The second day has arrived. God then said the waters from waters, and called to the expansion of heaven. The third day came. God wanted to fill the gap in the water, so God created dry land, and made the gathered water seas. Now he said there should be vegetation on the earth. The third day has passed. God said let there is the expansion of time telling from the seasons, and let there be light at night
“And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.”
