3. All employees will endeavor to manage their time wisely by properly balancing personal obligations, employment duties, and family responsibilities, to avoid tardiness or absenteeism. Those employees that are habitually tardy or absent will receive discipline according to the Employee Handbook.
4. All employees will be honest and responsible in their work, speech, and all communications, including personal and organizational finances, never seeking special favors, or borrowing from other employees or from those doing business with this organization.

7. All employees will seek to be honest in all dealings, using wisdom, courage, and integrity, reporting any acting otherwise to their supervisor or other leader if the supervisor is involved. Those who are not honest in dealings will face immediate termination, and whatever justice is required.

Signatures are obtained on the Verification of Training forms and are to be submitted to Human Resources for retention in the employee’s personnel folder. Employee misconduct will be monitored in by supervisory review of actions taken by employees, by conducting yearly surveys and also by implementing a reporting system. In our monitoring, we will be reviewing compliance and targeting deviations to our established ethical behavior. When the method of surveys is utilized, they will be nameless and must be completed within the thirty day allotted time. One feature of our reporting system is the establishment of our APEX Ethics Hotline, (800) 555-5555. This line is monitored by the Ethics Office and is open to anyone, the public, employees and customers to anonymously report unethical behavior or to ask ethics questions. With this system we are able to effectively monitor and evaluate unethical behavior and to take corrective action as required. The Ethics Officer compiles this data monthly and reports to the CEO with the trends and analysis.
Being a dependable organizational citizen includes being honest and fair. Therefore, it is important for employees to demonstrate these values by treating coworkers and customers fairly and keeping their word when working with these individuals.

You must be careful and tactful in how you communicate and express yourself at all times in the working environment. Certain conversation topics may not be suitable and cause embarrassment. The standards portion of the cheesecake factory’s code of conduct is essential. This is because the standards set the permitted prospects for the members and the company. It also offers procedure on how the officers of the company, the directors and also the interactions of the employees (Ferrell, 2012). The interactions of the employees can be both horizontal and vertical in the organization. The core element of the code of conduct in an organisation is honesty, and therefore, the standards enables it to be an ethical standard in the cheesecake factory. The inculcated honesty forms an important link with the clients. This is so because the clients are provided with the quality services that creates a long-lasting trust.
