There are so many ways that we can change the world we are living in today. I think I would want to change the world by putting a stop on drugs, alcohol, and smoking and making this a serious thing. People have told me that some kind of drugs are good for you and I tell them “that is for the dogs none of that is true” and all I have to say about this is not one drug on this earth is going to help breathe when you wake up the next morning. The reasons people drink is for their own entertainment I have heard about how so many people have drunk to get something off of their mind. Not to be offensive but that is something that hurts other people and hurts you also.” Promising this is the best thing I will ever do” I will never drink any alcohol for the rest of my living days. Every time I turn on the news all I hear about is how people drinking and driving. We all know for sure they can put a ban on items like this but I don’t see it happening any time soon. When I turn on the news to see how people have got diseases from putting a cigarette in their mouth. How would you make a change in world? …show more content…
One way I foresee people having brighter futures is if we do not do all this bad and vicious things. Only we can decide if we want to stop them or keep them going. All I have to say is if we stop the drugs we can see more positive things. Next, I have to say if we stop the alcohol we can don’t have to see all the arrest in the state of Virginia. Finally, I want to say I we stop smoking we wouldn’t have to see the way people have to suffer with diseases and all the pain they feel would be

Throughout the lifespan of the American government, there have been changes to the different branches. One cannot simply claim that they are exactly as the Founding Fathers had designed them and pictured them; they have become so much more. Among these changes are the adoption of the 17th Amendment, the general surrender of control of power to the executive branch, and the centralization of power to a couple of congressional leaders in recent years. These are some of the most important changes that have altered the Congress and the American government in general.

America has underwent an immense amount of changes over the past years. The media has most certainly made its name in our world. They have done their job and have changed the thinking of the human race in an inadequate way. Radios, newspapers and television shows have done an impressive number giving their audience with an overload of information that distracts them from the truth. People become so overloaded that they even sometimes forget to sit back and process what they are reading and what it exactly means. We sit in front of a television watching the news for hours hearing about the horrible and disgraceful people in the world but never about the people who have went out of their way to make America a better place. Despite the fact that
The United States started out as 13 colonies and slowly expanded to a country with its own governing system. The founding fathers started brainstorming for this government even before the Revolutionary War; however, our independence from Britain was a big help in establishing the United States. Not only did they have the opportunity to expand and grow, they could finally make decisions as a country. There were big decisions made to form the country we see in 1870, for example: slavery. If the issue was never addressed early, it would have been harder to pass the fifteenth amendment. Not only was there more freedom, but the U.S. Had gotten bigger, due to the new states joining the Union.
Every four years, Americans go to the polls and vote. Experts say approximately 23% of America have unregistered voters. Voting is vital. Every single vote counts on election day. The Presidential Election brings out the most Americans. Democratic and Republican parties go head to head in the race to become the nation’s president. In 2008, the presidential hopeful will be Barack Obama. He will provide citizens with affordable healthcare insurance. Obama will give tax breaks to the working class and improve the education systems.
The Progressive Era changed the face of America in several ways. From the way it changed the infrastructure of America's meat industry to the creation of the 19th amendment allowing the suffrage of women.
America was not always the successful country that it is today and some Americans were once not actually from the United States. Instead, the states stemmed off from different cultures around Europe, the land being split between many big contenders like Britain, Spain, and even France. The thirteen colonies were the start of the US and would eventually become rebellious enough to break away from the system that they had once lived under. The states undergone construction to build a new government and a new way of life for the generations that would come. After two hundred and thirty nine years of practicing and figuring out our way of life, America has both succeeded and dropped in many areas. The definition of America has certainly changed throughout the years, but one thing
A lot has changed within American society since 1945, America as a whole has evolved. The act of change is not always positive, at times change can be negative. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the change within American society since 1945 and to examine whether the changes have been positive or negative for the people of America. America has evolved in the rate at which people are going hungry and the concern as to why this is occurring. The perceptions that have been made by individuals is the fact that the people that are going hungry are the homeless. These people are said to be generally unemployed and don’t have the necessities that others inquire. Many don’t think about the people that have jobs and families, but just don’t make enough to pay the bills and put food on the table. America has had this perception on what “hunger” is, but now that same perception is changing. It doesn’t matter who the people are, but rather how the hunger in America has changed over the years. In the article, “Shift to ‘Food
“ ‘Merika,” land of the free and home of the brave. America is one of the strongest countries in the world, even though we only have the second largest military. I think America needs to change. America needs to change because we need a bigger punishment for rapists and murderers, we need better gun control, and we need a stronger military.
The United States is experiencing a convergence of immigrants that hasn 't been seen since the historic immigration explosion at the flip of the century. throughout the Nineteen Seventies and Nineteen Eighties, seventeen million immigrants entered the u.s. borders, quite twice the quantity that had arrived throughout the four former decades. The immigrants inward to America nowadays are heterogeneous than ever before, returning from associate degree hugely broad spectrum of states, together with a unprecedented vary of non-standard speech backgrounds, and lots of of a non-European origin. Change in America has constantly been occurring since we first colonized into this country. Since then, plenty of people have made tons of changes for the sake of our country to move forward as a whole. The changes made take a great deal of effort, and the people making these changes dedicate so much time and effort. The people involved in the changes want to help themselves, a group or section of people, or just want to change the society as a whole.
Altogether America needs to change and stop pretending that nothing is wrong and nothing needs to be changed. To illustrate what I am intending to prove I invite you to think of America's prison system as a house. On the outside the house looks very presentable, mowed lawn, fresh paint, and is often getting touch ups for appearance purposes. A new problem with the house reveals that the whole plumbing system is outdated. Because the owner is more concerned about spending money and time on what everyone sees on the outside and persuading people to believe that there is no problems he sweeps the broken pipes under the rug. As decades go by the house although perfection on the outside is one leak away from collapsing altogether. Should he finally
(A) Examples of policy change in America would be the elections. If we elect a new president we create a sense of policy change due to the new president aspiring to accomplish one thing different on their agenda, even if the new president remains in the same political party as the previous president. The campaigning candidates usually listen to their respective public opinion, thus promising certain things in order to get them elected. If the elected president fulfills the wishes of public opinion, then we partake in policy change.
