I have selected Apple as the company that I will be following financially for the duration of Accounting 561. Not only am I a passionate Apple user, I also believe in how the company develops, creates, and markets their product lines for consumer use. They have created products that are so complex at their core with an extremely simple user experience, which has been nothing short of remarkable to watch from the time I was a child through adulthood. I look forward to studying the company and their financials further as we dive deeper into Accounting 561.

By evaluating and selecting the competitive advantages within a market a company can distinguish themselves from their competition. For an organization the “grand strategies indicate the time period over which long-range objectives are to be

Now one must ascertain that such regulations would only be applied under certain governance systems- a good government; a government that is liable to the people. Before diving directly into the article from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) titled Governments to Report Liabilities Connected with Their Obligations to Clean Up Pollution (2006), one must first take a step back and take time to read, comprehend, and take to heart exactly what this organization stands for. Taken directly from their main web page under the tab labeled Education, the first thing seen in big, bold, blue letters is, “Due Process: The GASB Is Listening” followed by a definition of what listening means, “to hear with thoughtful attention”. When researching a little more into the GASB, it is easy to see how crucial listening truly is for them in order to fully accomplish their
While looking over my answers on the “Multiple Intelligence Scoring Sheet”, I’ve noticed that I only have “strong abilities” in the musical category. However, I also have abilities in interpersonal and intrapersonal as well. I honestly do agree on with Howard Gardner’s Theory and his descriptions because each category is written with logical meanings. After reviewing the types of roles that I was put in; the three listed are actually perfect for me, and the others don’t quite correlate with me personally, except spatial-visual.

Discuss filing requirement? - Filing requirements are specified by law for each type of taxpayer. In addition, all corporation must file a tax return annually regardless of their taxable income. Therefore, estates and trusts are required to file annual income tax returns if their gross income exceeds $600. In the filing requirements for individual taxpayers are a little more complex as they depend on the taxpayer’s filing status, age and gross income. The gross income thresholds are calculated as the sum of the standard deduction, additional deduction for taxpayers age 65 or older and personal exemptions that should be applied to each respective filing status. In addition, the amounts are indexed each year for inflation. Thus, when a taxpayer is due a refund which happened to occur only when
In advising the board on whether this is a financially sound decision; I do not think that this would be a great decision for the community to make, and would risk the district losing several millions of dollars over the next three years. With the five percent increase year one over the current salary schedule, and only a two percent increase in revenue the district would lose $91,123. This is because of the increase in salary, retirement, and social security; mixed with stagnate insurance cost, and only a 2% increase of revenue would equate to the district losing 91,123 in the first year.
What is the purpose of the dividends received deduction? What corporations are entitled to claim this deduction? What dividends qualify for this deduction?
Terrance and I had a brief meeting before he met his ACCT 220 tutor. He needed to work in two assignments for that class which are due on Sunday (10/29). Terrance and I tried to make an appointment with Terrance’s academic advisor, but it was not possible for him to make this appointment. We will try to make this appointment during our next meeting.
