Living in the United States for many years women have had limited rights . Many felt like women cannot hold their own , but that was never the case .Through the women’s movement women have created many opportunities such as voting , holding their own career without people feeling like they were trying to be smart . As women we have the right to a child and also have the choice of abortion . After , Women worked so hard for theses rights it would be unconstitutional to take them away the fact that women have the right to abortion. We, the negative team , believe the affirmative team will attack us on abortion being murder , women who lay down has to take responsible for the child , and the health of the mother . To begin with the Affirmative team may say that abortion is murder ,but however “Women have sought ways to terminate unwanted pregnancies …show more content…
Being pregnant is a heavy burden . Abortion is a good choice if you are young or they are not ready to be married. Being young is always a burden and abortion may be tough for short term , but you have to think about long term if you bring this child in the world more important than you not being able to feed the child or cloth or even bath the child. Protection can only work sometimes ! Birth control is to control the birth or even to prevent a child . Abortion is a another way of birth control. but it may be sad but you have to think of the child and yourself : “For many years for centuries women have used sticks and stones and caustic chemicals and all sorts of things” (Abortion2). Women use to do their own Abortion , but why should a women do that if a professional can do it the legal way. Women have sex is not always the problem. It takes two and protection and birth control does not work all the time
You’ve heard the stories of the coat hanger and the back alley, those bloody days before Roe v. Wade. Sen. Patrick J. Leahy told one recently at the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Neil M. Gorsuch. As a Vermont prosecutor in 1968, three years before the court struck down state abortion bans, cops woke Leahy up in the middle of the night, because “a young co-ed nearly died from bleeding from a botched abortion.” The senator’s drift was clear: If confirmed, Gorsuch could cast a vote, or several, to bring back those horrors (if not the archaic phrase “co-ed”).
How would you feel if someone took your life away? Think about it like this, you didn’t do anything wrong and all you wanted to do was live. But someone decided that it would be better for their sake that you die. Unborn babies don’t have a choice whether they live or die when they’re in the womb. Fifty-six million abortions are performed world-wide each year, with thity million of them are in evolving countries. Abortion should be illegal with the exception of rape victims and if the mother is on the verge of losing her life.
Have you ever been caught in a life changing predicament? Chances are you have. In fact every single person in the world comes to a point in their life where they have to make a decision to better their future for the good or for the worse. One decision can be whether or not you want to start a family with someone. Often times accidents happen in which people didn’t plan for, and can lead to many financial problems or neglect of one’s child because the parents weren’t prepared to be parents. This is why there should be the option of abortion. Abortion needs to be an option for everyone because it helps from long lasting mental states, infection, economical problems, and or having conceived from a non consensual circumstance.
On January 22, 1973 the U.S Supreme court issued its ruling in favor of abortion rights. The decision was 7-2, it stated that it showed a “right of privacy.”Abortions have been performed for thousands of years all around the world, even though many women died from it. Women nowadays have a choice of whether they want to get an abortion. Abortions do come with risk, one of them being death, but women should still have a right and say what they want to do with pregnancy and not be judged by others for doing so. Today the debate across the world is if abortion should be banned because it’s inhumane or if it gives women the right to do what they want with their body.
“1 in 4 women in the U.S will abort their baby” (www.babycenter.com). That’s approximately 37,950,000 women aborting their babies each year, which is a lot of lives. Abortions were first originated in the early 1800’s when they were considered risky and not spoken much about (www.prochoice.org). Abortion not only physically hurts the child and his chance at living but as well damages the mother’s well-being. With those statistics in consideration, abortion should be made illegal in the U.S., not only to further better the lives of any future child but to better the lives and regrets of mothers.
Is abortion wrong? Does a fetus have rights? Should a woman have the right to abort if she decides she does not want to have a child? Should a father have a say in whether a fetus is aborted or carried to term? There are countless reasons a woman may choose to have an abortion. Abortion is a controversial and emotional topic that sparks a great deal of debate. Hearing facts will assist one in deriving a more knowledgeable stance on the matter.
The idea of abortion has been a world wide phenomenon for many years; sequently, the stance on whether or not it should be legally permitted varies. Many believe that it’s ridiculous to even consider taking the life away from someone who has done no damage to anyone, nor it is to put their life at stakes for unnecessary reasons. All human beings have the right to be given the chance of a prosper life, but taking it away for a selfish causes such unplanned parenthood isn't enough of a reason. The other half believe that its their right to have the power to chose if someone dies or not, that life been one of an innocent human being. What not many understand is that this problem can be easily stopped.
Abortion should not be legal in my opinion. Abortion isn’t right and isn’t safe. Abortion is not right because it is murder, can cause physiological damage, and abortion promotes a culture that promotes a culture in which human life is disposable.
1. About six-in-ten U.S. adults (59%) say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, compared with 37% who say it should be illegal all or most of the time. Public support for legal abortion is now as high as it’s been in two decades of polling.
Some people think that a woman has the right to decide whether she wants the baby or not; and no one should forbid that because it’s her own body. She controls it as she wants. However, abortion may cause health risks and depression which may lead to suicide and it involves other different medical and emotional risks . Added to that, that inhumane act will deny the mother from enjoying pregnancy’s levels, and deprives her opportunity to raise a
Women get shamed and judged for even considering an abortion and people never ask the woman their reason behind it. Abortion is not a form of birth control; Abortion is the process of removing your child from the womb before it's due date knowing that it will not survive outside the uterus. Women get abortions to end their pregnancies. Some people call abortions "induced miscarriages". People say that women go and get abortions and act like it's no big deal, killing your child that you created is kinda a big deal and affects the woman greatly. "What could be worse than a mother killing her own child before she even gets to hold it in her arms?" is something often heard.
A 14 year old girl, exploring her sexuality, wanting to see what’s different, what’s new. A mistake, she’s pregnant, not her fault, she’s just ignorant to what she didn’t know. She knows she can’t keep it, she has to do something, she has to tell her mother, she’ll kill her. The entire situation was an accident, and now she’s doing more exploration, except this time not for pleasure, but to fix her consequence. She thought it’d be easier to fix what had been done, but as she finds, it’s not. This is a true problem in Texas for any females looking to terminate a pregnancy. The laws and regulations (more like obstacles) put in a women’s way before she can actually go through an abortion are made strictly from an impersonal and intimidation driven point of view. Whether this is from the strict one way an abortion can be done in Texas, the locations making it harder for some women to access clinics, or the fear tactics put in place before a women can even have an abortion, they are all preposterous.
On behalf of many studies it is approximately estimated that there are near 45 million abortions being taken in a year. Imagine that those abortions had not occurred with the current population issue in the world, there are over 7 billion people on the planet and we have limited resources which are depleting quickly. In a very awkward way we then notice and understand the real meaning in why abortion is beneficial to this world. There are many pro-life supporters that do not see the real reasons, benefits, and situations of this matter. Many of the pro-life supporters are ignorant to the reason behind why many women decide to take action in having an abortion. To all of us we should understand the real concept behind why abortion should remain legal; though it might seem immoral it can often be the best solution for the women that have to take that tough decision. Pro-choice protects and defends the people, it is ultimately the woman’s life that would be affected and no one else’s. We live in a country based on “freedoms”, so that means that women have and should continue having the freedom to that alternative. The big question is; “Who would the government be to take that away from us the people?” With all this being said, we all know that the best willing thing to do and accept is letting a woman have the decision to choose if whether she wants to have an abortion or not. She must have that option because we are all human beings and we have the right to make a decision of
A person who is in their right mind would never kill a baby, so there is no reason why such a vile thought like abortion should ever cross a woman’s thoughts. It’s despicable to consider ending a life that is just getting started. It does not matter how small that child is, it is still a human and we have no right to take away it’s life. There are millions of women out there and they should have a right to their bodies but when it involves the life of someone who cannot yet speak for themselves we need to put a stop to it.
Not every mom gets to hear the cry of their baby, why would some choose not to on purpose? Every 26 seconds a child is dying without seeing the light of day. Abortion is wrong because there are ways to avoid it responsibly, it can cause psychological damage to the mother, and it’s murder.
