Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop your capabilities of working as a team while applying Organizational Behavior (OB) concepts in analyzing a business case. The Assignment
Your team will act as consultants who are reviewing the organizational situation in your assigned case and will analyze the problems as well as make recommendations to improve the organization. Students will be placed into teams; consult your professor on how teams will be organized. Your team will be assigned a case out of “Additional Cases” starting on page 520 in the eText. The assignment deliverables are similar in design to the In-Class Scenario 3.

PPT Presentation
Live Presentation in Front of the Class
Team Charter
In Week 9 you will learn about Team Effectiveness and apply these concepts to developing a Team Charter.

PPT Presentation
Download the “PPT Template” file as a starting point for your presentation. Use the file titled “Guide: Problem Analysis” to assist your team with developing the problem analysis for your case
.
Format
The presentation will include:
A Title Page (1 slide) with team member name
A Summary of the Case (1-2 slides) that states only those case factors which have a direct bearing on your analysis.
Root Problem Analysis (1 slide per Root Problem). In this section you will outline the Root Problems and their related Symptoms, using at least three OB concepts to describe each.
Recommendations (1 slide per Root Problem plus 1 final slide for top recommendations): In this section you will use the chart template to indicate at least two recommendations for each root problem, the pros and cons, and OB concept to explain the recommendation. On the final slide outline the top three recommendations from your analysis.

Live Presentation in Front of the Class
The format of this assignment will be a presentation delivered in Week 13 & 14 using. See the file titled “Presentation Tips” on how to structure your PPT and how to conduct yourself
during the presentation.
Your presentation should be professional and not have detailed text in the slide.
Use the "Notes" section of their PowerPoint slides which will serve as the detailed analysis for your assignment. All team members are expected to contribute to the assignment, including attending and participating in the presentation to be eligible for the team grade.

Ackoff (as cited in Larson , 1987) described the problem of managing complaints about slow elevators in a tall hotel tower.After trying many solutions for reducing the complaint: staggering elevators to go to different floors, adding operators, and so on, the management determined that the real problem was not about the actual waiting time but rather the perceived waiting time.
