Pedagogica l knowledge I do not know this concept By using the video TPACK and SAMR Presentation” pedagogical knowledge is defined as “Teachers deep knowledge about the processes and practices or methods of teaching and learning” Content Knowledge I do not know this concept By using the video TPACK and SAMR Presentation” c ontent knowledge is when educators have knowledge about the subject matter they are teaching or being taught. SAMR Substitutio n I have a basic understanding of substitution and can somewhat explain the basic idea. Substitution means using technology as a direct replacement for something without changing how it's used. For example, without changing the task the student uses a computer to type a document instead of writing it with pen and paper.
Augmentati on I know this concept and I can explain it. I have a basic idea of the concept and can explain it in one or two sentences. With augmentation you use technology to improve a task by digitizing it, adding some functional improvements along the way. Modificatio n I have a basic idea of the concept and can explain it in one or two sentences. The lesson design or outcome is altered through the use of interactive tasks. For example, with podcasts the student can create it and other students can use it as a study guide. Redefinitio n I have a basic idea of the concept and can explain it in one or two sentences. TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge) SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) Both TPACK and SAMR have different focuses when it comes to aspects of technology integration in teaching and learning. SAMR: SAMR focuses on how technology is used in teaching and assesses how much technology helps with learning tasks. SAMR has four levels of integration: Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. It helps teachers see how much technology they use and aims to use more for higher levels of technology integration within lessons.
