The Section Heading Intel was a company founded in July of 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. Intel, short for “integrated electronics”, initially selling memory chips, the company continued to grow as technology advanced becoming America’s leading brand of semiconductor computer circuits. This essay will examine the business model and structure of Intel, why it works, skills one would need to change or add to it, and security issues within this business. Intel’s business strategy, as stated on their website is “ to play a larger role in our customers' success by delivering a predictable cadence of leadership products.” (Intel Corporations, 2024). The site goes into more detail by providing their priorities which include improving execution to strengthen their core, extending their reach to accelerate growth, and redefining their position in the industry. These priorities encompass a number of strategies such as continuous innovation, keeping a predictable cadence, and keeping the best talent on their team. The business model for Intel “ is based on supplying microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, graphics chips, integrated circuits, and other related computing units to computer system manufacturers such as HP and Dell. Since it was founded in 1968, Intel Corporation has been integral in driving technological breakthroughs worldwide.” (Pereira, 2024).
