Module Two Question 1 Describe one of the beliefs and values of the Navajo as illustrated in your readings. Ceremonial performances were done to respond to ailments, both mental and physical. Sometimes these performances could even last up to 9 days, and are believed to provide a connection between the people and the gods. Module Two Question 2 Describe one way in which the Navajo have incorporated their beliefs and values into the societal structure on the reservation since regaining some autonomy in the 1970's. One way was through the use of traditional medicine. Herbs, ceremonies, and songs were once again allowed to be used as a way of healing if desired. Module Two Question 3 What beliefs and values can be found in your culture? How do these beliefs and values influence your day-to-day life? Christianity and doing really well in school were pushed in my family from a very young age. My parents believed that Christianity taught very good values and beliefs and also believed that high grades were extremely high up in relation to importance. I still think about these things daily and am definitely still valuing getting good grades in school. Module Two Question 4 Adopt the social science perspective to create a list of questions about this issue. Write at least two questions each from the point of view of a psychologist, a sociologist, and an anthropologist. 1. How does being on videogames at a young age effect mental health? 2. Does playing violent video games make someone more likely to be violent? 3. How does playing videogames for extended periods of time affect social groups? 4. Are "gamers" friend groups better or worse than groups of friends who meet offline? 5. How have videogames contributed to an increase in technological advances?
6. How have videogames effected human development?
