erotic (adj.)

The word means “of or arousing sexual love or sexual desire,” “amatory,” “susceptible to sexual stimulus.” In the “amatory” sense its referent is simply “sexual love,” but in its other senses it has come to refer more and more explicitly to sexual desire and stimulation, with less and less reference to the love or sentiment that might accompany it.  1
