ZEUGMA
 
 
(pronounced Z[Y]OOG-muh) is a figure of speech wherein one word is used twice in the same sentence but in different syntactic and semantic relationships: I explained, “I’m really trying,” and she seemed to agree, saying, “I find you extremely trying.” See SYLLEPSIS.  1
