St. James, King James
 
 
The British royal court, to which foreign diplomats are accredited, is the Court of St. James’s (named after a palace built by Henry VIII on the site of St. James’s Leper Hospital). The “authorized version” of the Bible, first published in 1611, is named after King James I (1566–1625), and is known as the King James Bible.  1
