| youngster (n.) |
| |
| |
| has as referent a young person in an age range from child to the relative younger than I am, as in the oldsters remark, Why, hes only seventya mere youngster. This Standard term may have a rather old-fashioned air about it today; the kids seems to have replaced the youngsters as many parents way of referring to their children, whatever their ages.
