anybody, anyone (prons.)
These indefinite pronouns are unusual in that they take singular verbs, but subsequent pronouns are frequently plural in most levels: Anybody [anyone] who hasnt done so is welcome to telephone their parents now. Edited English is the exception, usually insisting that subsequent pronouns also be singular (Anyone [anybody] who believes differently is welcome to his or her opinion). Each of these indefinite pronouns is spelled as one word, but the parts of the compounds can also serve as adjective plus noun: Did they find any body in the wrecked car? Use any one of the three entrances.
