To be sacrosanct (pronounced SAK-ro-SANGKT) is to be “super-sacred,” with overtones of “untouchable” or “inviolable,” and sometimes also with a pejorative suggestion of too much (“just too sacred for words”). See HYPERBOLIC.  1
