honor (v.)
when combined with a preposition, usually takes either by or with: They honored her by naming a park after her. They honored him with a reception. Other prepositions occasionally appear as well: I was honored at their remembering. She was honored for bravery. He was honored in receiving the award. Note that honor in all meanings and functions (and as a component of other words) is always pronounced without the initial h- (see H-).
