affiliate (n., v.)

The verb combines most frequently with with: Our organization is affiliated with the international group. British English also uses to, perhaps somewhat more frequently than with. The verb can also be intransitive: We’ve decided to affiliate in the spring. The verb has a secondary stress on the last syllable (uh-FIL-ee-AIT), but the noun’s final syllable is usually unstressed (uh-FIL-ee-it).  1
