A French air attack on the village of Saqiat Sidi Yusuf killed 69 Tunisian villagers. The French planes had been chasing FLN guerrillas from Algerian territory.  2

A French-Tunisian agreement arranged for the withdrawal of French troops from Tunisia (except Bizerte).  3
