Cardinal Miroslav Lubachivsky, 77, the spiritual leader of 5 million Ukrainian Catholics (known as Uniates), returned after 52 years in exile in Rome. His return marked the rejuvenation of the Uniate Church, which had been outlawed by Stalin.
