Treaty of Sana between Yemen and Britain. The British recognized IMAM YAHYA as king of Yemen, and the imam accepted the Anglo-Ottoman line of 1905 as the border separating Yemen from the Aden protectorate.
WAR BETWEEN SAUDI ARABIA AND NORTH YEMEN. The Saudis launched an invasion of Yemen and nearly conquered it, but were forced by the British and the Italians to give up their gains. The Yemeni state was fully restored, but in the Treaty of Ta'if accepted Saudi control of three provinces formerly claimed by Yemen: Asir, Najran, and Jizan.
