| 1 City (1990 pop. 38,372), Hampden co., SW Mass., a residential and industrial suburb of Springfield, on the Westfield River; settled c.1660, inc. as a city 1920. Bicycles, machinery, and paper and metal products are made. Westfield State College is there. 2 Town (1990 pop. 28,870), Union co., NE N.J.; settled late 17th cent. as part of Elizabethtown, inc. 1903. It is almost entirely residential. A Revolutionary War cemetery is there. |
