Torre del Greco
 
 
(tôr´r dl gr´k) (KEY) , city (1991 pop. 101,361), Campania, S Italy, on the Bay of Naples, near Mt. Vesuvius. It is a fishing port, industrial center, and a popular seaside resort. The coral industry has been a specialty of the town since the 16th cent. Torre del Greco has been damaged a number of times by volcanic eruptions.
