(s´m) (KEY)  or Syme (s´m, s´–) (KEY) , island, 22 sq mi (57 sq km), SE Greece, in the Aegean Sea, one of the Dodecanese. The main town is Sími, located on the northeast shore. The monastery of Panormetes is on the island.
