(mr´zäpr´´) (KEY) , joint municipality with Vindhyachal (total 1991 pop. 169,336), Uttar Pradesh state, N central India. It is a district administrative center and has major road and rail connections. Carpets and brassware are manufactured. Many Hindu pilgrims visit the shrine of the goddess Vindhyeshwari.
