(mk´ms) (KEY)  or Michmash (–msh) (KEY) , town, c.8 mi (12.9 km) NE of Jerusalem. It is identified with modern Mukhmas (West Bank). In the Bible, it was a bivouac of Jonathan in his Philistine wars.
