(g ´sh r) (KEY) or Geshuri (g sh´y r , g shy ´r ) (KEY) , in the Bible. 1 Small Aramaic kingdom that remained in the territory allotted to Manasseh. It occupied barren land NE of the Sea of Galilee. After the division of Israel, it became a part of the Aramaic kingdom of Damascus. A daughter of one of its kings married David and was the mother of Absalom.
