Colman, Ronald
 
 
1891–1958, British stage and film actor. Dignified in demeanor and voice, Colman created an image of kindness, humor, erudition, and romantic appeal. His films include the silent Stella Dallas (1927), and the sound films Raffles (1931), Arrowsmith (1932), A Tale of Two Cities (1936), Lost Horizon (1937), The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), Random Harvest (1943), and Champagne for Caesar (1949). Colman and his wife, Benita Hume, starred in the television series of the 1950s, The Halls of Ivy.
