city (1990 pop. 52,456), Brazos co., E central Tex.; inc. 1938. In a prosperous cattle and cotton producing area, College Station doubled in population from 1970 to 1990. It is home to the huge Texas A&M Univ. and to the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library. The city of Bryan borders College Station on the northwest.
