| outer borough (1991 pop. 226,100) of Greater London, SE England. The area is a rail and industrial center. Its manufactures include automobile parts, clocks and watches, and electrical equipment. At Wembley is a large sports stadium that was originally built for the British Empire Exposition of 192425 and was the site of the 1948 summer Olympics. Mandir Mahotsav, one of the largest Hindu temples outside India, is located in Neasden. |
