| § 33. miso- |
| The prefix miso- and its variant mis- come from Greek misein and misos, which mean hatred. Thus, misanthropy (from mis- plus anthropos, man") means hatred or mistrust of humanity, and misogyny (from miso- plus gune, woman") means hatred or mistrust of women. | 1 |
